  1. This is exactly what would happen folk at either extreme of the argument then a sliding scale in between with everyone else. Forbwhat it's worth this is utter shite bag behaviour from the management of the club to send the manager and captain out to front this. There should have been boardroom representation or I don't know someone employed to run things on their behalf like a ceo? McGlynn is saying the right things in that awkward way he says them. I do believe this will have shaken him and I do partake in the opinion that he got caught up in this pursuit of promotion and probably a good bit of pressure from the board and himself as well. It was a monumental f**k up and he's trying to own his share of it. There are folk still calling for his head from our own support and many others but it's never that straight forward few things in life are and he should stay on until the summer when things can be looked at away from the intense scrutiny we have right now. The legalities have to dealt with appropriately and f**k me will they be sensitive to negotiate those as ultimately the club don't have a leg to stand on and lime it or not he is an employee who has done nothing wrong whilst under his employment with us. However what are we actually doing as an organisation to "build bridges" because unless I'm mistaken we still can't produce a programme or have raith TV for example and I doubt anyone who cancelled subscriptions or donations has started paying back in.
  2. Caley thistle and Kilmarnock are also both in free fall, as well as the bottom teams finding some form and Partick having about 5 games in hand. This b*****d league is wide open.
  3. I think getting tore into a portacabin because it might not be profitable enough is the least of our concerns.
  4. Currently without Sim the club is fucked because there us nobody who will take on the burden of a championship club as well as an ageing ground and all the debt that goes with it. Now copy and paste or not replying to folk that got in touch is decent behaviour, I would still expect a longer public interview but time is ticking on. From what is said Sim will be stepping back from chairman which is probably in line with most folks wishes. What this can't be is a shuffling of some good old boys for some other good old boys. I will echo what others have said that Val is not in this to run a football club she's got plenty better things to occupy her time and she doesn't look like she's a fan of blazers. That said I think she is someone who the club needs to give a bit of balance tell it like it is, she is respected and holds a bit of sway.
  5. Just as an aside from this what is the point of Sinton? I thought he was Sims man on the inside while he's overseas. Just on the ceo role again do we currently have a club secretary?
  6. How the f**k are we paying for a ceo. Yet rely on volunteers to do things such as, raith TV, run the shop, do the programme etc allnof which bring in revenue.
  7. I'd be surprised if we're not getting shit from the spfl over our handling of this as well. Ultimately its very bad publicity for Scottish football and change has been force by principled individuals rather than the industry.
  8. Celtic have a league to win they'll probably stop at half time 4-0 and a shite crowd.
  9. Faor point let's keep these to actual football. The other shite can clog up our own thread.
  10. The more that comes out of this the worse it gets for the board and potentially the CEO. As I've said I will reserve judgement until we know a lot more and it can be corroborated to an extent. It also makes the "we're just having a look at the contract" part of the statement even more ambiguous to me what was written into it? This is going to cost someone Sim/the club a lot of money.
  11. I think we'll get something Monday or Tuesday likely from John Sim and released through the club if anyone thats left can work a camera. McGlynn is not a cool composed character in front of the camera and that's only on raith TV never mind the national media. I expect there is some PR firm somewhere sifting through the wreckage as we speak.
  12. Does anyone know if you can just pop into wellpark and go to the shop? I'll be over that way in a copulle of weeks and want to pick up a couple of bits.
  13. Will the club approach Denise/rape crisis in an attempt to better understand and genuinely make amends?
  14. Is Sim in the country at the minute or through any of this? If not they might be waiting on him turning up to face this mess and make some decisions.
  15. I think I'd rather get as much information and perspective about the whole thing before committing either way to how I feel at the moment it's a fucking mess. From what Bill Clark is saying even he doesn't know the fullness of events and he's on the board at the time.
  16. Fair point I think this season Gullan has had 2 bene has had 2 and zanatta had 1. I'd give them to tumilty the boy can strike a ball.
  17. The club should be proactively engaging with everyone who left and having honest discussions about where we go from here. For me the worst part of this whole fiasco was seeing people who love the club and donate so much of their time and efforts just walking off because of the actions of others. This club relies on volunteers and it relies on the fans generosity with so much bad feeling I don't know how tomorrow will play out. The Tuesday match was played against a nackdrop of a surreal kind of shock almost like a sudden bereavement.
  18. Regardless of the moral position and everything else. The fact is he has a contract and the club as employers have a duty of care towards him. This could get very messy because I'd imagine he has all kinds of promotion bonuses, appearances and goal bonuses.
  19. Briefly dipped into the 107 thing on twitter but was on my way to work. Will catch up with it at the weekend particularly interested on Margie Robertsons input.
  20. Back to actual football on field matters. We really need to grip up this defence. 3 at the back doesnt work as we have no wing back on the left which leaves it all lobsided unless one of our many wongers can slot in there? if its a back 4 Lang plus a n other probably Bene ad big Frankie has been gash. Is it worth giving McKay a go? We've been much better getting on the ball and going forward which is in no small way thanks to Stanton who was sorely needed. Up front Poolatnik deserves a run of starts to build a relationship with somebody. He won't score many but he is industrious and due to the situation that is to never be mentioned again there are few other striking options.
  21. I think McCartney will be thrown under the bus for this by the board. They will say thay she was hired to do the day to day running of the club. She did not do enough due diligence in regards to this transfer and did fully understand/disclose to the board the potential ramifications of this move. Being married to Smith she has not been impartial in this which in itself was ridiculous when appointing her really. McGlynn and Smith will go at the end of the season unless we do by some miracle go up. Smith might go before hand if his Mrs is emptied. Allan Temple wrote that Benedictus was the only person from the club to speak to the press and has probably tried to make the best of a bad situation using only football clichés. As a side note it would have been interesting to see which players left the club in June as a result of this.
  22. Those is good news indeed and I am thankful he never played a game. Absolutely nobody will come out of this unharmed. The player will likely end up in the juniors as he is now such toxic property to even go back to Clyde. The club have lost so much good will and so many amazing volunteers and sponsors many of whom will never come back. We are in a crisis with a third of the season to go but I would urge calm at this time we need to limp over the line this season in whatever position that will be and look at everything in the summer. McGlynn and Smith are out of contract and may choose to walk away themselves. The board need to have a long hard look in the mirror and the club needs to pick up the pieces with the community and start again. For what it's worth I think McGlynn has felt the pressure to go up and has looked at it solely from the football point of view no doubt under pressure from Sim and the board who have seen the pound signs of promotion.
  23. The raith TV guys have been injured to far flung fans like myself. I would like to thank them for the brilliant work they've done especially through covid and are an absolute credit to the support. I suspect they'll be replaced by a half as good overpriced pay per view alternative.
