  1. I’d be happy with Fraser Murray signing up. He’d need to kick on a fair bit but he showed some quality at times.
  2. The market will correct itself. Clubs are well within their rights to maximise their income, especially when so many supporters/customers are thick as mince and will just pay whatever they’re asked. Don’t like the prices? Don’t pay them, write to the club and explain why you’re not paying them. Handing over £20 and then moaning is the behaviour of an absolute mouth breather.
  3. If enough people refuse to pay the ridiculous prices, they will come down. If enough people keep handing over £20+ out of some perverse loyalty then clubs are quite right to keep charging those prices.
  4. I just think you’re massively overestimating how long that takes. Assessing the squad with his coaches takes hours not days. I’m also not believing any serious candidate applied for a manager’s job without a good idea of the players he’d want to bring to the club. This will have been discussed during any interview with McArthur/Meggle.
  5. I think it’s tough to judge unless you know what walk up prices will be if and when that’s allowed. If they’re still £20 then £305 isn’t much of saving really.
  6. I’m thinking the bridie patter was a fishing trip but...it’s not totally wrong. A Stephens bridie can be too puffy but a perfectly cooked one is like being hugged by God.
  7. Not to my knowledge, no. Main Stand is. Other stands (most of the support) is only a fiver dearer.
  8. £305 is very steep when you consider there’s every chance those 2/3 “free” games you’ll get will be behind closed doors. Streaming is absolutely pish as an alternative. If you think of it as a charitable donation I can understand buying one but it’s pretty terrible value for money. Especially with a poor managerial appointment and no signings to get excited about.
  9. You were the one arguing he won’t be signing players because he needs to assess the squad. I was pointing out that’s daft because anyone that’s followed football for five minutes knows what we’re looking for in terms of recruitment.
  10. I think Kelty and Cowden merging isn’t completely out of the question. Don’t think it will be happen but I’d happily see Central Park finished as a football ground.
  11. We have one keeper and one central midfielder. It doesn’t exactly take a footballing maestro to figure it out.
  12. Would Scott Allan be a good loan signing for Raith Rovers? Are you serious?
  13. I’d rather we didn’t make any signings than Killie’s transfer business tbh.
  14. Connolly will be excellent one week and you won’t see him for the next month. McGlynn has never been about star players though. He gets together a team that can compete as a unit and organises them really well. It’s not like your squad last season was brimming with talent but it worked brilliantly.
  15. How is it “excellent football” if your team is getting beat every week? A good manager gets results with the team he has, not stubbornly sticking to his idea of how the game should be played whether his team can handle it or not.
  16. That checks out because I remember Dallison being a well-built handsome b*****d who couldn’t trap a bag of cement. Much like when Pars signed the Broadwood Beefcake Tom Lang, I think he was just brought in to model the kit.
  17. Pars hired Peter Grant yet Ross County, Inverness and Dundee United have all made even worse appointments. I can only assume the money has properly completely dried up and clubs are just hiring the cheapest possible option available?
  18. Edwards wasn’t POTY. He got the young player award and that was basically because he was the only contender. The standard in L1 and L2 in England is shocking. One of my best mates supports Sunderland and he can’t believe how poor some of the teams are. Tom Dallison was terrible in that awful Falkirk side yet he went down to Crawley and is their best defender. I think plenty of players at this level could easily go down and perform well.
  19. Last time I visited this thread the United fans were openly mocking the idea that Courts was getting the gig.
  20. Anyone saying Morecambe have a better standard of player didn’t watch the play-off final. They’re absolutely fucking brutal. Anyway, not going to win this argument so let’s just await which shite players want to join our backwater club.
  21. I don’t believe a team battling relegation in England’s third tier should be a bigger job than a club aiming to reach Scottish top flight, no. I get they may get more money from EFL but essentially we’re all just accepting Scottish football is a meaningless pub league if diddies like Morecambe dwarf us all.
  22. I was told Stephen Robinson was a laughable shout for our manager but he’s apparently about to go to Morecambe. If Morecambe is a massively bigger job than Dunfermline in 2021 then we’d be as well packing it in tbh.
  23. The worst of patter. It’s not patter. As with most players in this league, if they were decent they’d be snapped up by a club in a higher division for more money.
  24. Be lucky if he’s scored half a dozen goals since that game. Shame he’s found his level and hasn’t kicked on.
