  1. Disagree on the bitter as f**k comment. Actually seems fair enough, given Hertz is managed by that shaved chimp. It's what every player says when they take on a new challenge, particularly if they're a more experienced player. I'm looking forward to seeing how McGlynn uses him and what he can bring. I think he’ll do fine but it’s not a big surprise he’ll be used as a sweeper/centre back. Probably need a quicker partner or even a back three.
  2. Then we get a mutated, vaccine resistant variant at Christmas and we go back to square one...
  3. 2,000 is the figure they know they can get. With the size of EEP, I’d be very confident they could apply successfully for a bigger crowd. Should give away a vaccine with your half time bridie.
  4. Well, Berra seems bitter as f**k. Not sure performing well for Raith Rovers in the Championship is going to convince people you’re not finished at the top level though.
  5. Season tickets on sale from Wednesday and new investors still fully on board and will help us get our new training ground. Full statement here: https://dafc.co.uk/story.php?t=Chairman’s_Statement&ID=13157
  6. I think he was looking finished tbh so i think he’s made the right call. If Mayo is the standard of players we go after then we’re really struggling. He won’t get into the defence and he’s not good enough in midfield.
  7. Sobbed like a wee kid who had dropped his ice cream cone.
  8. Remember when McGlynn played him at right wing at EEP for title decider? A decision so mind-bending the Rovers’ fans thought the club didn’t want promotion and threw the game.
  9. Updated squad. Only question mark left is what’s happening with Lewis Martin? Keeper and central midfield is very scary at the moment, especially since our first competitive game is five weeks on Saturday.
  10. Turner was sent out on loan and replaced in Pars midfield by Lewis Mayo. Let’s not get carried away here. I actually like Turner as a player and he probably will make a difference for Thistle. It just shows that the standard isn’t very high.
  11. Shields and Whittaker staying on as First Team Coaches, with Whittaker retiring as a result.
  12. Tommy Wright’s quote today was that he never wanted Alston to leave St Johnstone. He’s clearly past his best but the Championship is a division where Kyle Turner is seen as a game-changing signing. There isn’t too high a hurdle to overcome.
  13. He retired after his second spell with us and last I heard he was driving a taxi?Maybe a driving instructor.
  14. Which players at your club performed brilliantly but didn’t get the recognition they deserved at the time? Was there an individual who your fans appreciated but opposition clubs wouldn’t look twice at? Is there someone who’s worked at your club behind the scenes and done a fantastic job? For the Pars I think Gary Mason never really got the credit he deserved from outside the club. He was outstanding in the middle of the park for years and you really noticed the difference he made when someone else had to fill in for him. Crawford, Brewster and Nicholson got the plaudits but he was such an important part of the team that finished 4th in the SPL and reached SC Final. Off the pitch, I think Marv Stewart was the answer but she did so much for the club it ended up her getting recognised on the Queen’s Honours List! Instead I’ll go for Jordan Burt, who does a lot of media stuff with the Pars and has worked really hard to get his opportunities. Good on him.
  15. Reaching the final of the Euros is about the least Scotland thing I can think of tbh. More likely we’re the 5th best third place side and miss out on reaching last 16 on fair play record or something daft. He’s been in the job officially for under a week. Squad doesn’t need a major overhaul so I’m content to wait for the right targets. We’re not signing Cardle anyway so my interest in recruitment has dropped significantly
  16. £220 for 18 games is a great deal IMO. Anyone thinking that’s too much would not be considering buying one in the first place.
  17. Did Armstrong do well at the Rovers? Surprised to see him at Killie, although maybe I’m still thinking of them as a big club and not the hopeless jobbers they’ve become.
  18. Begging OP to introduce spacing between the squad lists. On my knees.
  19. Nope. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.thecourier.co.uk/fp/sport/football/dundee-united/2274697/stewart-petries-odds-slashed-but-montrose-boss-is-not-a-candidate-for-vacant-dundee-united-managers-role/amp/
  20. Felt Cochrane was ineffectual when he was on loan but the lad has only just turned 20.
