So we're four games from the turn of the season , Accies ,Ict , Rovers and Thistle . I figure if we can get through these unbeaten then it may just be game on and we can start to believe. Who does what at the window will be key, a pair of fullbacks and a goal scoring second striker would put us on the front foot I reckon.

Really tough game on Saturday , Morton have probably provided us with our two toughest games of the season so far .

Hopefully everyone is fit and the fans can get up there in numbers , despite it being on the telly .

Should still be good numbers at Dundee regardless of the bus situation . The Ship are not running a bus due to nobody being available to run it . What ever happened to the bus from the Toll Bar ? Anyway don't see why the club don't run them out of Cameron's Bar ....

Time is running out in this window . Surely somebody has a name to be shared in our striker hunt ? I see Dundee are ready to punt Byrne , supposed to be a good player ,would he be of interest to us or is Dunfermline or Raith more his bag ?

Could be as he probably falls in to our price bracket etc and with 11 goals last season at RR not too shabby in front of goal . Of course Morton are still looking for a striker and no doubt one or two others in the division .

Some killie fans at work were seated just in front of our directors at the game and reported "they were beeling" ! So take from that what you will . My feeling is Killie,Thistle and Pars will be in the top four . The fourth slot is wide open ,if we click then it should be within our grasp . Rovers , Accies and Cally will all fancy it as well .

Time to drop the Killie game chat , its over ,we lost get over it . Arbroath game is only days away ,hugely important game . I'm hoping he bin's the 4-5-1 for this game for a few reasons ,I'd go with 3-5-2 ! …. 1. its gets Fjortoft on the pitch ,to take control of McGinty and Baird , 2. It get us a second striker on the field, probably Jonathon ,this should help big Tommi steady up . 3.Somewhere in that midfield five surely we can find a place for O'Conner ? At 1-0 your hardly out the game you melt .

We are a team trying to find our equilibrium . Last season we were far too open . If we fielded that side last night Killie would have won 5-0 . Hopkins its going down the hard to beat route . Last night despite having only 40% of the ball we were only put out the tie by a very suspect penalty . Some Ayr fans are still stuck in McCallsville and they have a point ,our team that went to Tanadice a couple of years ago and won 5-0 would have done Killie last night . However those players are long gone . We have to be pragmatic in the short term . Our build is going to be a job in progress for a while yet . That said we do have options to change or tweek the style of play and that should start on Saturday . I think we'll do ok this season ,I don't think a top four finish is out the question . Five years down the road who knows where Smith will have taken us , we have zero debt ,construction underway and other projects coming along . We now have the ambition we once lacked in the board room . Our best years lie ahead . Keep the faith lads .
