My overriding conclusion from the statement is ..............................if we are losing c.£250k per year being FT, serving up unattractive football allied to extremely poor results - the sooner we make wholesale changes to our model the better. There is no way that the status quo can continue. That said getting the next PT recruitment drive badly wrong could lead to L2 and worse. Lets hope that the current manager plays no part in the "change of direction" when it inevitably comes.

After some thought because we are so far from the Central belt I don't think the hybrid model would work for us.

We are losing around £20,000 a month  we have to go part time cut costs everywhere we can.

  2. Accounts are out as expected we lost another significant sum last season .

This season we will lose even more the Dykes and Covid money will cover the losses for now but it can't go on any longer. Will be major changes to the budget for next season .

We have to try the hybrid model have a mix of full and part time players.

A player who isn't good enough for our rivals who are also vying for a playoff spot. Great piece of business.

It seems Marv tried to get him in the summer so he has  surely  seen something he can work with I hope so .

As I have said this is a re run of  the Doherty signing

Wonder if that will be us for today in and out .We can still sign players on loan in February ?

Yeah Mumbongo is dreadful sadly genuinely one of the worst players I've ever seen. You would have been better taking a punt on someone from the premiership on loan even someone who's not played a senior game than sign Mumbongo.

We had all this when we signed Doherty from Clyde he is not  that bad  .

We have tried that before signing boys from the premiership with no experience  it rarely works  at least he has a bit of experience he looked good when he came on at against us at Palmy hopefully can find that level .

Will only really be cover for us at least it is not a 2 year deal  like Hutchinson was.

I agree with everything you say in this post. Too much forward deadwood just now and we need more creativity and goals if we are to challenge for 4th

Have to hope Marv agrees with us but who will take our deadwood heard even Gretna would not take Irving on loan .

Have to hope Marv can get at least one in but not a boy to add numbers.

We need a experienced player to inprove the squad

Never mind Livi, Liverpool could come calling, we need him on a longer contract ASAP.

Calm down it was  just the one win !!!.

Hopefully Livi or Liverpoll will call soon

Great result  but we have won up there before wait to we start beating other teams around us .

Is that the first time we have not conceded well done to Marv his players .

The idea of shots at goal in his game  plan is a great idea

A goal! We must have had a shot 😲

3 shots 2 on target Marv will put a stop to that will get us defending deep invite them onto us a recipe for disaster  .

Have we not coceded a goal in every game this season over to you Marv .

It won’t be long until we only have 40 season ticket holders if things don’t change.

Don't like to see other clubs in trouble but as you say we need something to get us going  again.

We need a couple of loan signing who will change things like we did with Dapo and Jones  exciting signing try to get away from this boring football .

  9. We all complain about the board but they have a very difficult job of trying to run a football club they make sure wages are paid and tax bills etc are all paid .

Look at Edinburgh City they have now lost 6 points because of non payment of wages tax etc.

On Edinburgh they have just 40 season ticket holders cost over £500,000 to run looks like there budget does not get close to what they bring in

Is there any betting on the number of shots on target we will have?

Looks like we will not be adding to our  squad no surprise really as nobody will take any of our poor  squad.

As long as we follow the game plan work hard we should get away with another 1 nil defeat which Bartley will be quite happy with.

I can't see shots at goal added to the game plan play not to lose rather than to  win .

Wouldnt say i was happy about how things have been going but i think we have been unlucky with injuries. In the last 5 games QoS are the 4th in form team. Outwith the league we have done ok against better teams with a young developing team. Some folk think we should be humping part time teams but they have decent players making good money having the best of both worlds. If we want to be fulltime and be a quality full time side we need to be able to pay the wages. Simple maths. If you dont get the revenue in then to save the club going down the Edinburgh City route the club needs to live within its means, meaning we can only afford developing of lesser quality fulltime players. Unfotunately you cant make honey out of dog shit so unless we get more paying fans through the gates, we end up in a cycle of shite.

We have to try a  hybrid model to me that might work for us .

Young full time players backed up with experienced part time players.

We have to change something because the set up is not working right now.

It will not be long till the accounts are for last season which will again  show another six figure loss .

We can't keep losing huge sums of money

Apparently it is someone willing to happily attend every single game and praise the club regardless of the product on offer or the facilities provided.

I could count on one hand the amount of homes games ihave missed in over 40 years.

Don't really care about the facilities provided all that matters to me  is Queens winning games of tootball .

That is the problem come rain or shine I will be there but I really understand fans finding better things to do with there hard earned cash.

This is why right now we should really have a go for the playoffs  give Marv the cash to get a couple of real quality signing in not boys but players that will inprove our team straight away .

  13. Difficult away game but somehow we have to start and get results.

Hopefully Reilly Cochrane and Brydon back for this but Todd could be added to the injury list .

Hopefully we can add quality to the squad this week right now we are nowhere near good enough for the playoffs .

I hate to side with our BOD, but we do have a big squad (is it 27 or something like that) and if that is the case then you can understand why the BOD will say move some out before you bring others in - it's financial reality, particularly when our gates are plunging.  I had a drink with a St Mirren pal in their Members Club today pre-match and he told me that their squad this season only totals 19 (maybe they bolster that with youth squad players when necessary, not sure).  So you can see the different approach - sign quality over quantity.

We appear to be reasonably safe now (in terms of the dreaded drop to L2) so I can't see the BOD splashing any cash now either to sack Bartley or to bring in players.  Bartley will have to make do with what he has (and what he signed) to the end of the season.  Not great, but it is what it is.

No idea why we have a squad of 27 that is far to big you can understand the board saying to Marv to move players out before any come in .

On the Cup Tie we again were far to negative should always have a go . That was a very good away support of 485 it is a pity that even when we went a goal down we still never  had a go we had no plan B.

Subs should have been on straight away.but again they came in very late had no chance to change the game.

Another dissapointing defeat to what has been a very poor season .
