First of all the sudden crash of the pound sterling shows that an Independent Scotland cannot use a currency that is tied to the Bank of England. Sterlingisation as the growth commission and SNP suggest is a non starter. This week proves that, we would be fucked if we were using sterling. We need to create our own currency and central bank. From our own currency we can then pay pensions, there will be negotiations post Independence. More concerning for me is that I don't know what will happen after we vote Yes in the referendum?

And what difference will the UK Supreme Courts decision make? To a referendum that our FM has already said will have no effect. I am curious, what will happen if the UKSC says Yes and everyone in Scotland says Yes, but our FM says it was "Not self executing" and has no effect. Deference Ditto That could be next. Can someone tell me when the SNP plan to start the Independence campaign 2023? Why does there seem to be no excitement or movement compared to the 2014 campaign. Edit: Why did Blackford bend to Royalty? Why did Sturgeon do the same? Why has the SNP become part of the British establishment?

First of all, I never liked bucks fizz, thought they were shite. I agree with your second point, it is my opinion. Are the polls showing 50/50? Assuming that you are correct with that figure, then there is the possibility for persuasion. However, I think in my opinion the percentage will be low on either side to make any real change in the 50/50 figure. Their minds have mostly already been made up either way. By the way, are you aware of the Salvo event the other day and what do you think of it?

I haven't read the wee Alba book, I know what it is about already. Scotland can survive as an Independent country. But to survive, Scotland needs a competent government, something that Alex Salmond made in 2007 and again in 2011. Alex Salmond helped to make the people of Scotland realise that we can decide our own destiny. But the establishment have successfully neutered the threat from Alex Salmond. We have NS now, And to comment against her just won't do.

We have now descended into a society that refuses to accept other opinions. We call them trolls when we really mean they disagree with our point of view. Hopefully to get back on topic, I believe that the GERS figures are a picture of how Scotland is performing whilst being part of the Union. They would not be accurate for an Independent Scotland. I am going by early poll figures. I admit 50/50 is optimistic. I don't remember the polls in the run up to the 2014 referendum, but I believe Yes was winning then and the promises made by no were broken. And you are right, it will happen again.
