  1. Was there someone else doing announcements today? That did not sound like Speedie(?) On a slightly positive note I did manage to snag the last Chicken Tikka pie in the JH and it was great. Maybe a bit lacking in integrity and starting to fall apart due to the sauce, but 10/10 on taste. 11yr old said it was too 'spicy' but I loved it. For the sake of my bank balance and waistline I'm gonna work hard to forget it now.
  2. Some more random ticket highlights from my collection/folder, yay!
  3. As someone who likes both, I would not have put them together either. First time I saw TA they supported Blink 182 at The Hydro and got a lot better reception and even a few pits for being the 1st of 3 bands.
  4. Page 4 of this thread and no mention of Twin Atlantic? Or Travis?! I mean there's a few I like that I doubt anyone will have heard of, but I thought they would've been here before.
  5. If anyone's going to see Wishbone Ash in Edinburgh next week, a band/singer I like called Jeanice Lee are supporting so get there early I won't be there, got Lesbian Bed Death, Nekrogoblikon and Busted this month instead.
  6. The SPFL : It's a hard job sorting out fixture lists. It is a complicated process for several weeks after seasons end and takes into account consultations from local police, events happening in the area, travel arrangements and several other complicated events including star charts and weather patterns. A lot of time and thought and effort went into this and people were paid highly to make this perfect. Dundee Utd : ....but, pls? The SPFL : Lol, no worries, date changed!
  7. After confirming with babysitter (parents) I bought tickets to Trivium tomorrow as a replacement lol.
  8. Vending machines kill more people than sharks, be careful you don't anger it.
  9. How??? Took our couch an hour and a half to get out. The roads were too narrow for two coaches to comfortably pass each other. Heard that a van was in the wrong lane and "carved up a car and hit it as they exited" to the main road. Also the 5 random taxis that drove over the field instead of on the road and tried to cut the que didn't help. Got there back of 8am. There was 46 people already, first had been there since 2.30am. Hardcore fans call themselves The Victims and are mental. Think I've got sunburn on my nose from sitting in the sun watching the planes take off all morning. Predictably, one security guard after scanning trying to hold us all back was not gonna work for very long and everyone eventually sprinted. Got barrier, nearly in the middle. Worth it. Also at Blink on Saturday. Have early entry for that so no need to show up at such crazy hours again.
  10. Gigs In Scotland posted an update on their twitter, approximately and subject to change etc... Gates - 5pm Johnny Marr - 18.50 The Killers - 20.35 Show ends - 22.30 Looks like I'll be getting there around 7am lol.
  11. Alternatively, buying milk because the last time your child wanted tea it was lumpy, only for her to not want tea anymore and the milk to go unopened for 3 days...
  12. I thought the "video" of our teamsheet was just gonna be some 3D Graphic thing but just watched it due to the comments and that music is like something out of a movie trailer. idk if I'm going to a new LOtR movie instead of an early season 5th v 6th Cinch match. Also noticed how the academy graduates have a mark beside them to highlight it. Is that a new thing?
  13. I'm going to that too. No idea of any times though. At a guess, Killers will start around 9. Say maybe half an hour for turnover so Johnny will finish around 8.30. 45 or at most an hour set so I'd say somewhere around 7.30ish, give or take. Personally, I'll be there from stupid o clock in the morning and still have a good few in front. Killers fans are mental.
  14. In keeping with The Thread I believe that at least two are injured... Chicken Tikka Chasni is relatively new, and unsure if this will last the full season at this point in its career. Despite not making it to full time in its first appearance however, early signs are promising. Matching up with the Donner could be a wise move in gaining some experience.
  15. Graphic came up saying second half and that's when it changed. Noticed it when they showed Mika coming on, which stuck out as being at the game I knew he basically created the first.
  16. Brentford vs Spurs. Mentioned on MoTD there was an issue with the water supply.
  17. Only have a provisional. Did three lessons, instructor went on holiday and work / life got in the way after that. It was 12yrs ago and I have no desire to resume the process. Thank you for your well reasoned and incisive response though
  18. Hey guys! I've posted this elsewhere and got no response but I'm hoping you all nice folks will give me some response. idk if it belongs here on in one of the fitness/walking threads but I hope someone can give me guidance... Thing is, I walk a lot and seem to go through shoes/trainers really fast. £40 Converse seem to last the same time as £20 ASDA shoes ~3months before I need a new pair. When I say I walk a lot, I mean a lot. My tracker app says in May I walked 138km (85miles), June was only 92k (57mi) but that's cause the schools were off the last week. (And that's only the distances I tracked...). I'm not jogging or running, but I do walk about 4mph. I also go to concerts a lot and can be on my feet for 8hrs+ at times. The last shoes I bought were classed as 'hiking boots' from Lidl. The inch thick sole hasn't got a hole yet, but they did get a crease along the top of the metatarsal/toe-joining area and have now burst one of them. Usually I either get holes in the heel or the fabric rips from the sole at the back (happened with hi-top Chucks). I'm aware of the Sam Vines Boot Theory and want to get ahead of it. I wouldn't mind spending a bit more IF I knew they would last. I just don't know enough to trust they will. Personally prefer Converse or similar looking trainers, but boots or whatever will do as long as it's not leather type dress shoes or stupid ass looking yeezys. Is there help, or do I just eat the cost as a price for my walking? UK - Size 6 if it matters.
  19. Unexpectedly got an empty so decided to finish of the 1/4 of vodka and some of the Raki I had open from this night. Given that I did not like the taste with water and the (Lidl) Irn Bru was open... Much, much better tbh. A normal measure (ie a bar/shot amount not a 'toughman vodka measure that's 3x as much') with the rest of Irn Bru and it's drinkable. I can only assume the Turks drink it with water because our Other National Drink has not reached their shores.
  20. Also just to be contrarian and a downer on the Soare chat... especially in the first half it seemed there were times where he was our out ball, but 5/10 yards behind where we (or me personally) would've wanted him to be. We won the ball back a few times and Mugabi or Casey had it and Pape was in line with them instead of starting his run. Or he'd get the ball but once or twice got to the halfway line and slowed/stopped without really being under pressure. But maybe I'm nitpicking. He did look a lot more solid than the cup games, ran a fair bit with the ball and picked out a pass to put (Wilkinson?) through with a chance in the first half, and good a good cheer in the second half/injury time winning the ball back and getting it away from our goal. Think he'll end up good for us overall.
  21. Daughter got a Donner pie. Liked it. Positive feedback but not especially loquacious as she's 11. By the time we got to the front of the que (second half was starting) the Tikka one had sold out in the John Hunter so I didn't get a chance to sample it. Was served on a napkin instead of in a pie case though? idk whose responsible for that but if he supplies us again then more Tikka and more cases pls.
