  1. Maybe. O'Neill that signed is Irish.... (Don't get me wrong, and no disrespect to the player, but I certainly don't condone that one being in Starks either for being the other side of that sickening coin!). The Polish flag is brought for big Kev.... Incidentally, there is precedent for flags being banned. For whatever reason, and I am NOT getting into the politics of that one, the Palestinian flag seems to be banned at all UK grounds. The UJ we probably have to put up with due to political circumstance, however it IS a contentious flag in Scotland, especially after 2014. But with its being pictured and the clubs name being associated with an Irish terror group would suggest the club should be distancing itself from it. Also a flag stating the word Derry on it has obvious ties to the Northern Ireland issues, and is further contentious by the term 'always fighting'. Are these the same muppets that caused issues with the Motherwell fans, and on a few occasions the Dunfermline fans? Walking down the street with that flag alone can therefore invite the attentions of other club's bampots. The club need to at least be discussing how they can sort this out as the obvious attempts at associating the clubs name with one side of the Irish troubles, and all the negative connotations that has are VERY apparent. Do we have to wait till there is violence either caused or reacted to by these muppets, and innocent Rovers fans being injured before steps will be taken?
  2. Whits wi the Linktown Derry - Fighting on arrival flag pish (end of the highlights), and the union rag that was snapped with the Ulster Defence Association nonsense flags? WTF is happening with our support. We attracting muppets that canny get tickets at Ipox? f**k that I don't want our club associated with the Northern Ireland nonsense. After all the good work getting our clubs name out of the gutter since THAT signing, this is the last thing we need. Knuckledragging bigot scroats who want to turn Starks Park into mini Ibrox. No wonder they blurred their faces. Embarrassment to the club.
  3. Anything to stop the Rovers going up...... Would prefer us to put a grass pitch in again, but our old chairman wont stand for that......
  4. Not good when we have a broken Dick. Time to get Dick up and get it right up Caley tommorow.
  5. Several 'one things'. VAR to not be operated from in the Loudon Tavern. Heated terracing. Every club in Scotland to give Raith Rovers £100k Falkirk fans. Ban Falkirk fans (the one thing both the Pars and us agree on). Most likely to happen from that list? Any of the last 3......
  6. Funnily enough the Pars thought that too. But then the Pars always think they are better than us in every way despite them not being able to buy a win against us...... Superiority complex is rife with that lot.
  7. There's a question. How long has it been since you saw the orange ball being used on a snowy pitch? I reckon it will be early 90s probably, before the snowflake generation.....
  8. No thread for this as of yet unless I'm going blind? Anyhoo. This will be a great test for us. A ground we struggle at, against a team we have not long broke our duck with, but are rejuvenated with a new thug manager. Hoping that we can do what we have not done for over 20 year and come away with 3 points from there. If we play with the same fire we did against Fifes second team the other night, then I cannot see why not. Murray should be available for this afaik but Millen banned for it. Do we stay 3 at the back with Murray, Broon and O'Reilly or do we chuck in McGill at RB?
  9. Nope. Its now the Nou KDM World Class Big City Arena. Please be more accurate when describing the assets of our far superior and bigger rivals. I hope to hell if it is there, we DONT get the home end. But if the esspeeeffell has anything to do with anything....
  10. I have a firestick with the 'access' to the Championship games, and I dunno about our home games, as I am always at them, but our away games tend to be Morton TV, ParsTV, Arbroath TV etc, the official feeds, but unofficially if you know what I mean. perfectly watchable. Occasionally last season I saw a few that were weird, as in the camera would take a second to catch up that the ball was in the other half. In general though, if it saves me a Saturday spent travelling half the day to Ayr and back, or Greenock etc then I will lump for watching in the hoose in comfort.
  11. Murray has the chance at Starks to become a legend in the mould of Sir Jimmy Nic if he gets us up. That will make his CV even more worthy. At County he is going to be straight into a relegation battle, which may see us pass them. County are less of an attraction than Dundee are/were. (Did I just say that?).
  12. The League is what its all about for me this season. Use the cup ties to rest our main squad. League points are definitely more valuable than the diddy cup, and even the Scottish Cup game against THEM. Would happily exit both tourneys to concentrate on the league. We need to at least match what Utd are doing.
  13. Have to agree with the Spiders fans who are moaning about the subs. Dom Thomas (Townie cnut) was tearing us a new one down the wing, and he gets hooked? Gives us the same treatment as he did at Starks, and then disappeared as he did then too. Was hoping he would come back out to get his totties! Unbelievable game. Changed by subs. Fantastic by Rovers, questionable by QP! Not much between the teams except perhaps a bit of psychology/confidence.
  14. ditto. THAT was a good day. BTW, where's the best place to park now that doesn't take till 9pm to get out of and nae neds daeing in yer windaes if ye don't give them a quid?
  15. Dunfermline 1 Dundee Utd 3 Airdrie 2-1 Arbroath Inverness 1-1 Ayr United Partick Thistle 3-0 Morton Queen’s Park 1-2 Raith Rovers
  16. Cheers. That makes it less confusing for non-Spiders. Hopefully you get lesser sorted out, and increase past the very small capacity it has (1600 or so is it not?). Will make more sense playing in a smaller ground than the behemoth for atmosphere etc. Will also become another scratcher affy.
  17. Someone asked earlier, and I'm wondering too. Why are QP back playing at big HumpDump? Thought you were meant to now be at Lesser Hampden? Whats the holdup with that, and why back at the biggy when was at Stenhousemuir last season?
  18. Have to say after watching the highlights (was at the game but tend to get caught up in things) that Airdrie are a bloody decent football team. (Did I really say that? ). The best footballing side I have saw us play this season. Away game to them too, they deserved the 3 points as they totally countered our press, and we didn't know how to change it. I think the Airdrie fans can relax a bit. Cannot see them going down, and more likely to finish 6th or above. Are Airdrie to be our new bogey team?!
  19. Maybe this will change your mind. Our club being dragged into sectarianism....... Why the flag is offensive as hell!
  20. In January i would release Ross and Gullan. Gullan spends much more time on the treatment table than on the pitch, and cant see that changing. Both are McGrymm signings so on crazy wage deals no doubt. Bring in another n.o9 and a centre half. Oh and in the cup games this month, take a gamble and play Masson and the young gun we signed from the YM at the back. Fully rest the others. Guffy cup is meh. Scottish cup vs that lot along the road, would be cracking experience in a game I reckon we'll get beat in anyhow (we are due it from them, rather it wasn't in the league).
  21. Your lot are not that good this season though.... Would be a bit against form if your lot do win though, never mind 2-0.
