If there's no club statement this week then the more and more it feels like the board are trying to force ray to be our Stewart Petrie and build like Montrose did. It's probably a good idea to go that way but if we don't execute it with the right manager then it ends up looking a bit of a car crash like it is now.

I'm sorry but that "scissor challenge" it's being called is never a red even as much as I wanted it to be, would of been the most melodramatic red card the grounds ever seen, it only seemed a big deal because our players rushed over.

Worst thing is as a forfar supporter it's got to the point where no matter what happens on a Saturday the most important thing is that ray Is sacked just so that at least It invigorates some optimism before the Hibs game. The players missing sitters doesn't matter a jot when your manager eventually self sabotates with his substitutes.

The subs were mental, Paterson only coming on with about 4 minutes to go and after Ferguson and mutale is a bit of a disgrace when we were needing a goal especially when he's the only attack minded player that's been scoring or creating. The two games we've won this season he scored in.

Yeah It was pretty much a diamond today but the fact no matter what formation we play the midfielders aren't given any freedom to move out wide on the odd occasion is constantly our biggest problem when we have possession and it's Infuriating.

he's been poor in recent weeks but thought he did almost everything but score today, his main problem seems to be timing his jumps for headers.

You really couldn't tell Stranraer had that much possession tbh they barely got near the box in open play. We're definitely better on the counter attack and when we get it forward quickly down the channels but most of the time we fall into crowding ourselves out on the edge of the box because our wide players are always inexplicably told to stand in the middle of the pitch on our strikers toes.

Should of been out of sight at half time, second half we missed 3 wide open headers but ultimately ended up with the same old story and paying for it against a really weak stranraer side.

Coldest game at Station park in a while I think

You'd hope so but with ray being his dad's mate you wonder if he does him a favour and keeps him around in Scotland.

Believe me I wanted broomhill or brora at home ideally aswell but call me old fashioned that I get excited for having the big teams turning up at station park.

Deary me, aye would of been nicer financially for an away tie but we'll still be making good money from it. As crap as we are I'm still well up for a round 4 tie against Hibs and I think we all should be considering how everything else this season is going.

Really could of done without this interview tbh. Known board member asking the questions and agreeing with ray that we deserved to win yesterday is not a good look. It really doesn't dissuade the opinion that the club are happy to continue and enable ray.

As soon as I heard the news he left Arbroath I thought you guys would probably be the most likely destination for him if you sacked McDonald. I say this while wishing he could come back to us instead of course.

I'm sure ray would be up for it.

Word of warning from past experience of dick leaving after a long spell as manager is to not expect a quick turnaround, his favourite players at the club and guys who are at Arbroath because of him might down tools a bit.

Was just about to mention it I highly doubt he'll be interested given how he was sacked and has clearly never forgiven certain people at the board when you've seen him speak about the club. That being said I personally would definitely have him back.

You'd think the nature of of needing two Matty Allan scrappy set piece goals to get through these last two ties is enough to suggest that the performances aren't up to scratch in the cup either though.

Well I'm not sure how we kept a clean sheet there but I'll take it.

Complete irrelevant to anything but I notice Murray Macintosh seems to be back in Scotland looking for a club and is on the PFA Scotland website, be interesting to see if he ends up in our league somewhere.
