  1. Wasn't one who wanted Easton dropped for coupe because there was never doubt about Eastons ability and by in and large he was very good but let's not kid ourselves that he was as consistent as he's went on to be. Let's stay away from rewriting history to make our own points.
  2. Moore was arguably our best player at the start of this season, he's been the biggest victim of the chopping and changing of ray imo and you can't expect consistency if you don't know where you'll be playing each week.
  3. Because we don't. There's such a thing as a decent squad performing poorly, footballs not always as simple as being near the bottom of a league means the squad is what's bad when it's more likely that's it's a mix of players not believing in the manager because the manager keeps changing things he shouldn't then being mindlessly stubborn on other things, and players shot of confidence. Before anyone suggests I'm protecting every player by saying that I'll list the ones who have simply not been good enough. Mutale - too much speedboat no driver. Ferguson- looks a complete dumpling 90% of the time and a complete mystery to what his strengths are. Munro - was a really good servant for years but far too mistakes and should move on. Watson - clearly has pace and something there but ultimately still looks like a naive youth player. Ross - scored a couple good goals but overall goes missing in games too much recently. Robson - strange one because he's got undoubted ability with passing and can drive forward well but he's another that like Watson is still too naive and goes missing when under pressure and has been playing too much I feel. Skelly - started the season well and was doing everything except scoring but like quite a few since Stranraer away he's lost all confidence and needs another competent striker to take the pressure off a bit.
  4. let's not go there shall we, the club is not dying. Yes we've made really poor and lazy managerial decisions since Weir left and financially we seem to not be as comfortable as were were a few years ago but that was inevitable if we didn't get promoted back to league 1 and started doing particularly bad in the cup. Its clearly not working out for some of that squad but I still think we have a squad that if a new manager comes in that we can end up comfortably around 5th or 6th, outside the top 4 it's a poorer league this year than last year.
  5. It feels more and more that it's the financial reasons that's the issue with sacking him which begs the question why they gave him a contract until 2025 in the first place! Completely mental at part time level that he was given that off the bat and didn't even have to do anything to earn it.
  6. Same starring 11 for us tonight. 1 thing of note is that thomo looks to have changed his shirt number from 7 to sebs 14 randomly, Is Seb just changing to 7 or is something else going on with that?
  7. No doubt without Paterson and Morrison we'd be bottom and out of the cup, yet Paterson doesn't seem to be trusted by ray to start back to back games.
  8. I'd probably give him a break too but the fact is that the alternatives are Ferguson who is a complete dumpling and mutale who is undoubtedly rapid but shows very little else in his all round play to be the main man. Unless we maybe play Paterson up top as a false 9 striker?
  9. Highlights are up on bonnyriggs YouTube Im actually one who thinks 4G pitches should be avoided if possible but unless they can get their pitch redone and flattened with grass and it be worth it financially, you'd think they'd benefit with a 4G.
  10. Am I right in thinking Jim Weir Is involved in running a pub himself now or is that just whispers Associating Jim with prices pubs?
  11. As a forfar fan I can't help to notice your situation being vaguely familiar to our own situation at present. We just won our first league game in two months but it's vastly overshadowed by resulting in McKinnon outstaying his welcome even longer.
  12. Absolutely, at least he has unrivaled success for a few years before it goes turgid. We hit turgid after just 3 months of McKinnon and has stayed like that since February.
  13. Welcome to the Angus football mire where winning your first game in two months 2-0 just makes you more annoyed for delaying the sacking of your manager
  14. I apologize for being the negative Nancy this week but I genuinely only see this win as having a negative impact on our overall season purely because it gives an already slow board the excuse for delaying the decision we all know needs to happen as soon as possible for the betterment of the team and getting the enjoyment of going to station park back.
  15. I can't lie I never thought I'd feel this way about the team but even after having our first win in 2 months I'm far more annoyed that it keeps ray at the club for probably at least another few weeks than I am happy over winning a game. If that's not proof of what the tough experience of watching us under him has been like I don't know what is.
  16. Now we've got to do something unheard of this season and actually try to get the second.
  17. I'm guessing it'll actually be 5-3-2 with Whatley at RWB? but would appreciate confirmation from someone at the game.
  18. Only just seen that the game needed a pitch inspection today but is on. Ray clearly didn't quite do enough to the pitch when he went down to bonnyrigg last night.
  19. Its a bizarre time to say something like that and not the first time the previews have felt a bit false positive recently, its as though we were in a good position or were playing well. Also, highlighting that we've only conceded 15 goals doesn't actually make me feel better about 1 win in 11 games funnily enough.
  20. Could former Forfar Athletic centurion Robbie Horn put the final nail in current Forfar manager Ray McKinnons tenure?
