  1. Can't believe we've got to the early hours of Friday after last weekends match and it still feels like that last minute deflected goal saved ray his job. At this stage I'm almost hoping it's a big payoff or contract that's playing a part in the board not sacking him, otherwise it's completely mindboggling to think there's been some improvement to warrant the patience. Also getting to the point where rays notoriety for being ambitious and wanting to move up the food chain In jobs would make him think the only way to salvage his reputation for a next job would probably be to make some sort of managerial cliché publicity show by blaming everything around him and resigning in the hope some dumpling chairman buy it.
  2. To be fair that's just what happens in football when you have success like we were having, there's inevitably going to be a point where things feel a bit stale or underwhelming in comparison. In my opinion Jim Weir having to step aside after his car crash was much more damaging.
  3. In other news I've just seen that Elgin are looking for a new manager again after Barry Smith is leaving due to work commitments. just when they looked to be turning a corner at the weekend too, such a bizarre season they're having.
  4. Its also just laziness to have everyone back instead of working on them properly at training. Its the same with throw-ins, I've never seen a team struggle to keep possession off their own throw-ins like we do.
  5. Not winning that header isn't why we conceded, it was all the space on the 2nd ball with defenders stepping too far off and the midfield getting caught on their heels not reacting. Not to mention it was a bloody good shot.
  6. Also I don't know about anyone else but the feeling that the board were going to delay any sort of big managerial decision if the season didn't pan out was instantly apparent when we got the Alistair Donald interview after the forest green fiasco. When that decision is finally made I hope Alistair can be equally defiant in another interview and admit on behalf of the board the mistake in enabling where we are as a club on the pitch particularly since about February 11th where we've only had 5 wins in 25 league games. That's not even taking into account the overall real lack of entertainment and goals in even longer a time. In exactly 36 games and 12 months under ray we've only scored 35 league goals, In comparison in Irvine's last 12 months as manager we had scored 50 Goals In the same amount of 36 league games. That's the damning evidence of being in a worse position from a year ago.
  7. Doesn't seem like there's going to be a manager interview video this week, just a quote from ray in the match report reverting back to his same old type of naive comments because we ended up with a draw. Also why is there the need to call Morrisons goal a "screamer" or a "raker?" Was a decent strike that the keeper probably would of caught if it didn't spin off a Clyde player.
  8. Here's hoping the only sliding this week is the P45 over the boardroom table for Ray McKinnon.
  9. Crap overall team performance aside I actually think brindley deserves some credit today, been a long time since he's played like that up and down the wing. He also had to deal with mutale not tracking back first half.
  10. Trying to remember the last time my team was 3 points off top, 1 loss in the league and was still petty enough to hold a grudge over another clubs supporters fairly merited opinion of a player over years of watching him play. You seem to still be mistaken the odd arseholes overboard criticism of Matty as the general consensus, you'll actually find that most people are happy to see him kicking on even if it didn't pan out with us.
  11. Clyde should be pretty happy with that performance, they lost their energy in the last 15 minutes but they should of been further ahead before then and were clearly missing a natural striker like Rennie to help see the game out. Another lucky last minute equaliser to save the day for us, McKinnon got the team wrong again from the start and it wasn't until Paterson and Ross came on that we were looking dangerous, Before they came on it was only brindley who was causing any problems. If that last minute equaliser is the thing that keeps ray in the job for another week then serious questions need to be asked of the board for what they're watching to think that the manager is offering anything but regression, it shouldn't take falling to bottom in the league to make an inevitable decision.
  12. Have you heard of Ray McKinnon? I hear he's highly thought of.
  13. Brian rice just left alloa so you'd think they'd want an experienced manager whos managed the likes of Dundee United, Raith and morton.... someone like Ray McKinnon?
  14. Its hard to buy what he's saying now when we've played as bad multiple times already now this season and was relatively fine with it in those post match interviews. It just comes across as the cliche thing of when a manager realises he's on the way out soon and starts to hang the players out to dry in an attempt at keeping dignity.
  15. Ray McKinnon is your man then and should be available soon.....no but seriously please take him back asap
  16. Its more him realising that his jobs in danger and passing the blame on when he's been the one managing the decline. The cheek he has to say some players don't care enough after this game when hes standing around letting it happen and not making changes until we were 3-1 down.
  17. I know it's easy to look back and pick holes when things have gone badly this season but I'm not buying this completely revisionist argument that the squads a bad squad or that we recruited that badly. Before a ball was kicked this league season this squad was quite rightly expected to be challenging at least in and around the playoffs. What's ended up happening is having a manager who refuses to use the players to best of their abilities and force them into his completely stubborn pessimistic style football where playing with confidence and freedom is seen as something to be held against you. Just look at how he uses Paterson for example, completely changed the game against Huntly last week off the bench and has always looked dangerous and tries to be creative, however ray seems to be bothered that he plays with freedom and inexplicably took him off today when he was the only player who looked dangerous, meanwhile Robson was the worst player for me today but was kept on for the whole game. Ultimately it can never be understated how much a manager instills confidence or fight in a team with his decisions and attitude.
  18. That's as toothless a display I've ever seen from a forfar team. We pretty much already knew that McKinnon has to go but today's performance epitomises everything that's been wrong with his management of the team since about last February. Next weeks game with Clyde was already a major must win but after that display today it's 100% an out of the blue impressive win next week or bust for McKinnon.
  19. As annoyingly ironic that Matty's scored twice is, you have to say fair play to him today for being so up for the game and dealing with the stick he was getting. Stenny fans will be wishing he played against us every week.
  20. Very predictable first half as per, fast start for 10 minutes then inexplicably stand off and look like we lose all confidence for the rest of the half. We're the only team that scores early goals and it have a negative impact.
  21. Once again we're away from home.... getting a joke now. Would of been fine with that draw without knowing they spanked the flying east Kilbride 7-0. Just checked and obviously aside from the COVID season where ironically all our games were at home, we've not been able to watch a Scottish cup game at home since 2018 Vs BSC Glasgow. there's also only been two home ties in total for us since 2016 and one of them was a replay. Obviously our bad performances in recent years mean we don't get more games but that's still pretty poor draw luck.
  22. Matty Allan saving the pressure being ramped up higher on ray. I'm Hoping we can get Dunbar, cumnock or potentially musselburgh at home next round(so inevitably it'll be someone like Falkirk or raith away)
