  1. International call-up for Davor too. As clubs go, we're absolutely massive.
  2. Maybe they'll be bold enough to ask about the clearly shambolic coaching of him at St Johnstone... unlike the Perth-focused SMSM.
  3. "It's okay, jester strip Oli Shaw isn't real he can't hurt you." Jester Strip Oli Shaw:
  4. Just was suggesting at times we have maybe let our hearts rule our heads in terms of signings, Moult being a recent example of that despite all evidence suggesting it probably wasn't a good idea. Glad we didn't make the same mistake with KvV. FWIW I thought the re-signing of Obika was bizarre at the time and I'm absolutely baffled by it now. So I see where you're coming from on that one, despite him having never been held in the same regard as Moult or KvV, so maybe folk not having the same expectations etc.
  5. I more mean in the sense that Moult was clearly broken when we re-signed him, by all accounts, Hammell was told this and still decided to do it. Moult had done nothing to suggest he was fit before we signed him again, so you can't really compare it to now when he's done reasonably well in a lower tier. Kettlewell clearly didn't think KvV was worth pushing the boat out for, based on the information he had. Good call by the looks of it.
  6. Aye, KvV was tremendous for us, but it definitely had the feel of Moult second time round about it when we were in the running. Good that the club just stood their ground on the maximum they were willing to pay towards his wages.
  7. Killie have been dreadful mind you, KvV must be ridiculously unfit.
  8. Agree there. Also, plenty of folk, especially our Theo Fan Club on here, gave him the chance and trusted the signing. He's been absolutely outstanding for us, and even when he wasn't scoring as often he was key to our best play. What a guy. Now getting the praise from the vast majority of fans he absolutely deserves.
  9. First home kit I had: First away kit I'm sure was this: Also remember getting the black third kit at some point that @crazylegsjoe mentioned. But I seem to remember that being a few years after we wore it, randomly finding it in a sports shop in an industrial estate in Carluke, long gone now mind you.
  10. Is that maybe just a rule for "league" clubs? I'm not sure but that's my guess.
  11. Aye that's a fair point. I thought Butcher was terrible against Celtic but, as has been discussed, using as many subs as possible just because you can may not have helped either. No point dwelling too much on a defeat to Celtic, we've improved massively in recent weeks, topping it off with the outstanding performance on Saturday, and Kettlewell deserves praise for that.
  12. Going to sound like I'm blaming him here... but Butcher didn't play and did against Celtic
  13. Speaking of injuries, the wee guy that tried to tackle Casey and hurt himself is apparently back in training after *checks notes* a lengthy zero weeks out. Almost like they were trying to deflect eh?
  14. They still greetin' aye? Glorious. Motherwell admin continuing to put out Casey content too...
  15. If we're going with refs' opinions then the current experienced referee said it wasn't a foul. That's ideal, sorted. Case closed. Ps: Cry more Rangers
  16. A lot of the rhetoric around this, particularly from Sky's hilariously unbalanced Ref Watch, seems to be "the lad went home on crutches", as if there has never been a recorded incident of a footballer getting injured when no foul has occurred. Pish for the guy getting hurt but it's not a foul.
  17. Oh well, if former terrible referee Bobby Madden says it's a red then that settles it eh? We getting to the stage where visiting teams aren't allowed to compete for loose balls or tackle at Ibrox? Would that just be easier? Not only is Casey not late, he's early! It's a loose ball that he has every right to go for. Shame a player got hurt but this debate is laughable. Have Rangers fans considered crying more? That might help.
  18. What a great weekend of fitba. f**k it, firing the highlights on again!
  19. What a performance. What a team. What a club. Mon the Well!
  20. Can't believe we only gave Kettlewell a year's extension!
  21. Can't say I'm massively surprised at that outcome, the phrasing will have contributed to the result, that and the fact it wasn't on a specific proposal. Wasn't how I voted, still not sure it's the best way to kick off negotiations as anyone looking to invest will know they could push for full ownership, in theory anyway. I mentioned previously I had some concerns about the turnout at the latest elections for the WS and this turnout hasn't been great either. I think what the new society board have planned sounds great, and will hopefully inject a bit of enthusiasm, but there is clearly a bit of tiredness around it all, even from current members. In general I'm still optimistic about fan ownership, alongside investment but there is a good bit of work to do you'd imagine. Interesting to see how this develops over the next few weeks, but the longer this goes on the longer we are without key figures at the club, with a huge summer ahead.
  22. I like Bevis too. Aye he's got a clanger in him, but across the division that's quite a common thing with defenders. If the choice was him or Butcher I'd be choosing Bevis. SODs was good on Wednesday night too, going forward and defensively. While he's been inconsistent, like most defenders in our team this season, he is a better player than folk give him credit and the constant shite he gets from some in the support is way over the top. As soon as he makes a mistake, all positive impact is forgotten and folk are going aff their heeds. He certainly doesn't get up and down the pitch like he used to, but I've been impressed with him in the back three. I know he's been put back to WB in his last few games but wonder if that'll be his position longer term either with us or with another side.
