  1. Because he’s a numpty, that’s why.
  2. Aye probably for B Team players wages, staff costs etc. B Team or no B Team those costs will all still be there so not as if it’s a cost cutting exercise.
  3. Where’s this imaginary figure plucked from then?
  4. Instead of reconstruction talks maybe we should focus on getting sides to fulfill fixtures, deary me.
  5. Might have been on here that I read it actually, but I saw somebody say their 2nd team will fill the void left by the 1sts leaving in the Central. Another good side lost from the amateur game.
  6. Heard from a good source the Central league will be running a 19’s league next season. Knew that wouldn’t take long. Unsure of details at this stage
  7. Official on BU’s social media. Ooft.
  8. What is the set-up of the merged Central league for next season? I see 3 teams folded in the top division leaving a league of 9, any relegation as a result? Will the top 2/3 from the SAFL be placed into the Premier Division?
  9. Think Whitburn are likely to recruit well again next season, the First Division will be a tough league though. The quality disparity between the teams promoted/relegated with the Premier Division balanced out with the same at the other end of the table.
  10. Why are Ashfield playing at Stepford? I’m out of the loop. Have they left the Speedway ground?
  11. They beat the Rose in a friendly though guys?
  12. I have criticised them previously for boasting about friendly results etc but credit where credit is due, great result today.
  13. I see your point but at the end of the day player power is king especially at the level where players will bounce between senior/amateur. If the player wants a move then 9/10 they’ll get one, I can’t see many teams at the bottom leagues in the Pyramid looking for fees to release players. I don’t know the ins and outs but assume every player regardless of level is registered through the SFA? The only issue is then if players are registered as semi-pro for the purpose of receiving payment at senior level then that would stop the possibility of a loan move to an amateur side.
  14. I don’t feel there’s a need for that comment, just encourages inter-league bickering and point scoring. I believe it is a big step forward to try and provide a bit of stability to a struggling game! Games on a Friday night would be ideal, currently this league plays saturday afternoons so would clash with the amateur schedule and prevent players featuring for two teams - however I don’t know if pitch availability might be a prohibiting factor on Friday nights.
  15. Threave Rovers being accepted into the WOS is a joke. Likewise, these Glasgow Wellington chancers applying for the SOS is laughable.
  16. They’ll probably still do well next year, you’d imagine looking to win the league. But it’s a case of how do they replace a 70 goal striker and I’m assuming the lad Paterson will be away back to Arbroath too? Surely his development will be massively hindered by spending another year at that level.
  17. Why? Near enough a like-for-like swap of players from Syngenta to Camelon. Syngenta were 2nd I believe in the division below and were competing well in cups etc, so you’d expect it would be a seamless transition - the players know how to play together, it’s the same manager. The different standard in quality isn’t that big. So where is it going wrong just now?
