  1. So, Virtanen as defensive mid, Logan Chalmers for pace on the wing (he’ll go to Ayr), Wotherspoon for the creativity we lack, oh and Hanlon in defence. You can tell I’m not a potential manager.
  2. I imagine we train on plastic? Anyway, think of the advantage we’ll have at home.
  3. Gaston is the departure I think is hardest to take. A great keeper who can have 2-3 more years at L1 level or above. A real shame.
  4. Yes. He’s been a brilliant servant to the club. Finishing his testimonial year is a great milestone. If we’d been staying in the Championship it would have been time to move on, and the relegation doesn’t really change that. Get him in the Hall of Fame asap.

  6. Ricky is a legend but he would not have strolled league 1 next year. He’s had a pretty rapid decline.
  7. Dick did a terrible job of managing for the future. Far too many of our players were over 30 and the youngsters he brought in were not ready to be regular starters and were ditched pretty quickly (as someone said earlier). A big clear out was inevitable at some point soon and relegation is an obvious trigger. Quite a challenge for McIntyre to manage in the coming weeks. Good luck.
  8. Right up there with Ian Stirling (taller version of Ricky) and Tam Cargill (the previous TOB) in the 60s.
  9. Where can I see this? Does he say where he'a going?
  10. Be fair. Let Stewart line up as a striker. He’s played everywhere else this season.
  11. I’ve seen Arbroath’s starting 11. Mesmerising. Anyone care to guess how we’ll line up. I haven’t a scoobie.
  12. If we’re really going 442 Mikey is not a good fit. Ineffective out wide, and not disciplined or technical enough to anchor central midfield. Would have to be second striker. If he’s not happy there it would be a problem.
  13. I'd agree with the above. His workrate and attitude are first class. We love him to bits. He takes a pretty reasonable corner, but I certainly wouldn't rate him as a technical player. His first touch can be pretty agricultural at times.
  14. That would be a vey silly thing for him to do. He would not enjoy sitting on the bench all season.
  15. What did I miss? Has McKenna signed for Falkirk?
  16. He was absolutely a difference maker for us. It was so sad he screwed up and decided to leave us how he did. A real star.
  17. Everything’s a bit sh*t at the moment, isn’t it? Time for a break.
  18. Nah. We’ve got Raith last. They’ve been an easy 3 points for us for years.
  19. What have you lot have to fret about. You came up, you’re probably staying up (3 points from us on Saturday), you’re flying high by QP (and Arbroath) standards.
  20. Disastrous decision by Campbell to agree to play then high flying (not for long) QP two games in a row. It would be nice to get a win - unlikely but not impossible.
  21. I hope we can keep Delaney. He looked good today. Also MacKinnon but that may be harder.
  22. It took me a while to figure out what “disgusting tidsy” meant. No we weren’t. We matched an average Championship side apart from lack of composure in front of goal and a weakness they exploited at right back. Dreadful to continue our losing streak and too much hoofball at times but pretty organised and not disgusting.
  23. Walker was not up to it at right back. Lyon was worse. Everything came down Morton’s left. Everyone else pretty decent. Macintosh my mom.
