  1. Our current forwards are miles better than Hilson and Donnelly. Duds at this level.
  2. I know we’re short on numbers but if Ross County are loaning him out I’m not sure he’s good enough to improve us once we have some players back. Still, we need 11 fit players. Good luck to the lad.
  3. If this was a banter competition we’re going down.
  4. Stowe is a promising young player who should be getting a few minutes as a sub this season. where is Hylton? Has he gone?
  5. Give the boy a break. He hasn't played since November.
  6. If we listed Cande, Balde, Dunnwald and Thuran as 4 subs it would look better.
  7. What a lineup. What a bench. Jim will have done a great coaching job if we escape with some dignity.
  8. I hope so. We gave him his big break - and he was terrific for us.
  9. With no fit centre backs? Sadly that’s unlikely. But so was today.
  10. Reviewing the video of the incident from the Pars highlights, it looks a bit odd. Bird and Hylton seem to be walking past each other, then Hylton stops and stares at Bird then goes for him. It looks like something was said.
  11. This has turned into one of those “I’ll come back in a few days” threads. Luckily it’s
  12. I thought we played very well today. Very organised and nice passing. Gold and Slater were very good and Norey was exceptional. Tam, Steele and Stewart solid. Hammy is, not surprisingly, a bit off the pace. I love McIntosh. He offers a lot in attack and works incredibly hard. And yes, Bird and Hylton were class, but oh my that was shocking. Stowe was a bit lost playing out of position when he came on. I don’t understand why it wasn’t Lyon. Thuran was quite poor for his few minutes. Norey mom for me. Could have been Bird but…
  13. McIntosh in the centre and Stowe on the right - both in their preferred positions. We’ll be fine. 2-2.
  14. It had to be Wighton. He always scores against us. Does he have a cloak of invisibility or something? Why was no one marking him at a corner? He’s not even good in the air. Baffling but predictable.
  15. Any news on Dow's fitness? Also any news on how long Ricky and McKenna are likely to be out?
  16. Ricky Little is indeed small for a CB at 5’10” and he is very good in the air for his height. You sometimes see him struggle against very tall strikers. Chris Hamilton is 5’8” and although good in the air for his height I’d be terrified to have him play for us at CB. Maybe it works in a 3. From what I recall he competed well in the air in midfield, but usually just managed enough to stop the opponent getting a clean header. But I’m the only Arbroath fan who wasn’t a huge wee Hammy fan.
  17. Great result yesterday but with our current squad and injuries we shouldn’t expect too much. A draw would be great.
