⚫️⚪️The Pars vs The Jags🔴🟡 - 6th April 2024
Parsman85 replied to R&Y99's topic in Scottish Championship General Chatter
Yeah from my view i was extremely surprised a pen was given. A draw a fair point I'd say. -
Just think where we would be if we had a fully fit squad all season.

Rovers 🔵 ⚪️ v Pars ⚫️ ⚪️- 9th March
Parsman85 replied to Scary Bear's topic in Scottish Championship General Chatter
Rovers got their goal and basically sat on the lead that's what any team should do against us as we cannot break down teams. Can have all the possession but we don't do anything with it. Apart from a 5-10 min spell in the second half we never looked threatening. Yet again though our goals conceded are very avoidable. Taking Otoo off is criminal especially with the way Todd was playing and leaving him on. Special mention to Dabrowski for that save. Probably the best save I've seen live. -
Walking Down The Halbeath Road
Parsman85 replied to Parscelona's topic in Scottish Championship General Chatter
Reckon we will finish 5th. We are hard to beat. If we can add 2 or 3 half decent attacking players we will push the top 4. This league is far more competitive. We will have our fair share of defeats this season. Too many times last season we had a poor half hour or poor 60 minutes but we will get punished in this league. As Killie showed. I would love a play off place but until we see who joins us in the coming weeks it's impossible to predict where we will be end of the season. -

Thanks for posting that. I actually forgot there was teams below us.

Pars promotion tour- next stop Peterhead.
Parsman85 replied to parsforlife's topic in Scottish League 1 General Chatter
I go to near enough every pars game but as you said Peterhead away no thanks. As much as I love the pars I was willing to f**k them off for 2 Saturdays of the season to avoid that trip. But here we are I'm now 100% no questions asked going on a Tuesday night. If the title is won I'll congratulate myself on my excellent decision making. Anyway see you in Mambos for the title party. -

I'm heading up but as above this won't be an easy game at all. I can see us and falkirk both drawing. I had said at start of the seaosn I'll be at every game bar Peterhead away, missed the first one but now we have our first chance to be crowned champions I can't not go. I think a few others will be the same but it does all depend on work commitments etc. Hoping for a better performance and a positive result. Hopefully we arrive back in the city as champions -

Falkirk fans were appealing for a pen anytime they were within 50 yards of the penalty area. -

We were absolutely rank rotten today. One of the worst performances I've seen this season and yet you lot still fail to defeat us. Pitty we can't play yous more often. We done our best to lose that today and make the league a bit more interesting but FFC don't have the facilities to party with the big team. -

I'm not confident at all but I've said that before every game this season. I'd take a draw tbh but a win would be ideal. -

Best pub for few drinks before game and watch the early kick off beforehand? Preferably somewhere reasonably welcoming. -
I do think I know what you meant but I disagree. I've been to every game this season so have seen it all. You mention we don't blow teams away etc but even in the games we've won 1-0, that scoreline is not a true reflection on how the game has went. You would look at that and think it was a close well contested game. In reality rarely have we been threatened. Not saying we have not been threatened but rarely we have. We get our goal and see the game out. In the first game against Edinburgh at home for example, we completely dominated but won the game from an injury time own goal. Looking at that some would've said lucky. But Edinburgh came for the draw and sat in. We battered away and finally got the goal we deserved. The only time I can recall being complacent all season was giving away a 2 goal lead late on to Peterhead. We have had the odd shocking performance but as I said we have still only lost the 1 game all season. Mcpake has got it spot on this season. On another note regarding your team I'm quite surprised at how queen's have performed this season. In the 3 games I've seen against yous it has been like 3 different teams each time. I wish yous all the best for reaching a play off spot.

We have played absolutely terrible some times this season and still drew or won the game. On our day we are many miles ahead of everyone else. As I said already Mcpake won't allow the team to drop off. The defence will want to keep this amazing defensive record going as concede as few goals as possible between now and season end regardless if league is won or not. The team as a whole may also be thinking to get to end of the season with only 1 defeat is a great achievement.
-
In reply to a few comments regarding pars attitude when League has bee won. I don't think Mcpake will allow them to drop off. We will want to keep the unbeaten run going and to finish the league campaign with just the one defeat would be a tremendous effort. Especially after last season.

He spat and it so happened to hit someone. Completely accidental. -
