  1. Fantastic tears from the lad on Co-Commentary. How dare Morton not allow United to simply stick the ball in the back of our net. George Oakley with another perfect hatrick? Not sure if his second was with his left or right? Anyway Mon the fucking Mor’ Ton! Great result!
  2. Watching them back I’m amazed it wasn’t more than 3. Some hilarious defending at the 3rd from the Ayr boy trying to shepherd the ball out
  3. Really professional performance from us today. Other than the first 10/15 mins when Ayr pressed us a little we comfortable throughout. I’d be really concerned if I was a Ayr fan there today. I know yous are missing a few at the back your lads looked totally done in. Zero confidence in them. Still can’t believe the boy at RB is getting a game. Thought he’d have punted back to his parent club by now. Called it at the beginning of the season but McGeady is finished. Was there a bit of verbals between him and the fans when/before he went off? Although he never got a goal today big George up front was superb. He really gets us up the park. Robbie Crawford was everywhere. Really hope Wilson stays until the end of the season as he has been simply superb the last while. Oh and last but not least… ROBBIE FUCKING MUIRHEAD! Only annoying thing is he’ll miss Saturday now with his confidence through the roof after today.
  4. The problem we have come Saturday is we might not have a striker at all. Some seem to think Muirhead will be suspended not sure if that’s been confirmed or not? Imrie has said in the papers that’ll he’ll appeal Oakley’s red but again nothing confirmed from the club.
  5. The home side have lost three on the spin in the league whereas we’ve 3 on the spin(4 if you’re counting the cup). Feel as tho we owe Airdrie one for certainly the challenge cup game. Is it a good time to be playing you? On paper certainly looks like we have a good chance of extending our recent form. Hoping that Wilson will be ok for it as we missed him when he went off on Saturday. Will also miss Oakley assuming he’s suspended for it.
  6. Honestly can’t say I would take Thomas here. IMO he’s one of these players who flatters to deceive. Maybe will have a really good game one out every dozen he plays. As mentioned previously relegated with Dunfermline and on course for a relegation battle with QP. That’s his level. The petulant tantrum he threw when getting hooked yesterday probably sums it up.
  7. Can we all agree that Don Thomas & Tommy Robson are honking football players? Both relegated with terrible Falkirk and Dunfermline teams respectively and both stinking the place out at Cappielow yesterday and I can only assume every other ground throughout the league this season.
  8. Well forget about the refs performance until tomorrow. But we’ve dug In superbly there. Well deserved 3 points for us today. If I was a Queens fan I’d be furious with that performance. Never really landed a glove on us second half.
  9. Can’t help but feel Saturday will be one of two results. 5-0 to Morton or 0-1 to Queens. Nothing in between.
  10. It is madness to think a team of youngsters is going to cut it in this division for a full season. Any idea what your average squad age is? Surely has to be the youngest by a distance?
  11. Forgive me if I’m wrong with this one. But were you guys not over the moon with the signing policy pre season bringing in guys like Hepburn, Paton & Turner?
  12. I tend to hate these types of games, especially with our form being so terrible this season. Morton always a great team to play when your down on your luck. But the last two games makes me think we’re back to the team we were last season and have that fight about us that will bully Queens off the park on Saturday.
  13. Couldn’t help but feel he’d have given the goal had the ball went in from Muirhead’s long range effort. Absolutely zero faith in him bringing it back had it not went out for a goal kick which of course would’ve been hilarious!
  14. Thought we were superb in the second half there. Back to back wins in the league in what seems like forever. Much more balanced with two proper fullbacks although French does look low on confidence still. Hoping he’ll come good with a run of games in a now winning team again. Lewis Strapp but! You’d never have guessed he was out for almost a year. Unreal to have him back, really can see how much it means to him to be back playing. Fingers crossed we can keep him until the end of the season. Shug Wilson for me was MOTM. Big man was everywhere and never put a foot wrong all night.
  15. Said it before and I’ll say it again. We need to create 15/20 chances a game to to score one. Unfortunately we couldn’t quite manage it today. Thought we deserved it over the 90. Glad to see Bearne take his chance. Deserves a run in the starting 11. Wilson also superb at LB. If we can correct out inconsistent form and turn in a few back to back performances like today and go on a bit of a run we can definitely save our season.
  16. Really frustrating last night. Raith far more clinical than us. Seems as tho we need to create 15/20 chances to be able to take 1. Need to be more ruthless in front of goal. Fair enough a bit unlucky having so many cleared off the line but still. French had his worst game for us last night and the less said about Gillespie’s performance the better. A quick turnaround to Friday where we really need to put some points on the board. Home form has been atrocious this season.
  17. True but canny see it. And as good as Wilson was at RWB on Saturday it’s not his natural position and will get exposed by better teams.
  18. As mentioned earlier in here would like to see us continue with a similar setup to Saturday. Far more solid with the thee at the back. When O’Conners fit again keeping the three at the back and French going to RWB is an attractive option as well. Really need to sort out our home form but would take a point now if offered.
  19. Played LCB of a back 3. Did his job well without being outstanding. Almost sold the jerseys 5/10 mins before we scored and gave the ball away about half way but thankfully the boy Rose is knickers and French had the pace to recover really well. All in all happy with him.
  20. I was surprised Ahui never seen a second yellow for the trip on McGratten which led to the goal. Equally surprised that Waters(who was superb btw) wasn’t booked. Suppose that sums up the ref really.
  21. Really enjoyed Oakley knocking the ball off an overly upset Ayr player to win the 4th/5th corner or thrown in, in a row and rubbing it right in his face. Fantastic stuff!
  22. Much more like it from Morton today. Both teams having spells of pressure without creating an awful lot of clear cut chances. Ayr having the two best chance’s probably throughout when Chalmers went through in the first half and Murphy hitting the bar in the second. We had a few stramash’s with the ball just not falling. Muirhead harshly booked for diving for me but would have to see it again. Much more like it from Power thought he was excellent today and a great ball for the winner. Fully deserved goal for big George as well. Big man needed a goal delighted it was for him.
  23. First 30/40 mins I thought we looked decent and in control. One ball over the top and Partick equalised and we then were all over the place. I don’t think there’s really much between the two teams other than we’re soft as shite at the back and absolutely leaking goals. All of which are because of criminal defending. Amateur stuff! And with only having 4 defenders we have pretty much no option to change it up. We could go three at the back but it still leaves us shoehorning someone into a RWB position. What’s that? 11 goals shipped in the league this season so far. We need bodies in and quickly. Let’s hope Crawford isn’t out for any length of time if at all because we missed him badly when he went off today as well. ETA - Don’t know if it’s been mentioned or not but Broadfoot lucky not to get caught sticking the nut on Graham in the first few mins.
  24. Any word on how bad Murdochs injury is for you guys? Got to imagine he’d be a huge loss for you if he’s out for a while? Him being missing second half on Saturday was night and day I thought.
  25. Fair enough he’s not played in months and will definitely be rusty. But that doesn’t forgive how disinterested he looked. Reeks of a guy who’s hearts not in it anymore.
