  1. Thought I'd share this on the off chance that any members will get any benefit from it... I am currently filling several positions in a dynamic contact centre based in the borders. They have recently taken on some new contracts. They are growing fast and need your help. Have you got customer service experience? Are you looking for full time temp employment for approx 2 months (possibly more). Are you willing to travel? The details are: Inbound calls, sales and customer services (shift work) - full time hours at minimum wage: £6.08 - the main rate for workers aged 21 and over £4.98 - the 18-20 rate £3.68 - the 16-17 rate for workers above school leaving age but under 18 Candidates must have excellent communication skills and be willing to travel to the borders (approx 1 hr from Edinburgh city centre by car). Please can you contact me if you are interested or pass this email on to anyone else you know who might be interested. T: 0131 225 5633 F: 0131 2266657 The wages are shocking but it might tide someone over for a couple of months. Better than the buroo!
  2. Possible whoosh here but didn't you state that you weren't good at maths because you only put four statements down when it was meant to be five?...
  3. Didn't do Uruguay any harm in the first World Cup. I'd like to see a 4-3-3 attempted again as McGlynn's version when we won the league was a constant threat.
  4. Dad? Just a gentle wee jibe my good man, didn't even consider your articulation.
  5. Rovers_Lad, aye?! Let's stop all of this real fan, not a real fan pish. The fact of the matter is that every single person who contributes to the Rovers financially is vital. We're all equal in that we all love our club and only want to see the best for it. Some folk are negative about the situation and some folk tend to veer towards positivity whatever is happening. Such is life. I've probably seen more bad than good in the 26 years I've followed the club but I feel that memories of the bad only serve to make the good times that little bit more special.
  6. This. Every fucking place you drive in Kirkcaldy has roadworks of some description and then I head to my work in Dunfermline and can only go 40mph on an open bit of dual carriage way where there are no road workers. Dose o' shite.
  7. The boy on the left looks like a fat version of Kyle Falconer from The View.
  8. Dundee charge £19. Simple Minds? The board dictate budgets. If the board didn't think it sustainable at the time then they should have said so. Might have pissed McGlynn off but no individual is bigger than the blah blah blah.
  9. So we should just let our best player leave with half a season to go and lose our most potent goal threat in the process?! Who would we replace Baird with? Is this player going to miraculously turn his supposed no hope team-mates into players that Europe's elite will be scouting every week? Too far?! Just a wee bit.
  10. Good Mums have sticky floors, dirty ovens and happy kids! Didnae ken you had to be a mink to have happy kids.
  11. Cheers man! Good stuff. Think I'll stick to FB and just go in to Twitter every once in a while like I do just now.
  12. This post officially gains me membership of, 'The Daft Auld c**t' club but how do you use Twitter? I have an account set up and I follow a few folk but I'm not quite sure what the benefits of it are?... Help.
  13. I'm going to start pushing Decembeard very soon. I was speaking to Allan Crow of the FFP and he was interested in advertising it and maybe even doing it himself. Still waiting to hear if the players are going to be involved in this or not.
  14. Allan Walker set the bar high last season. He hasn't quite lived up to the heady expectations that we may have as a result of his performances last season but form is temporary. I'm sure he'll come good.
  15. Everybody is like that in Kirkcaldy. Nobody works, they just take shifts rambling daftness at burst sewer points and asking jobbies if they are dangerous.
  16. The following Friday to the Fifa competition sees the 200 Club hold a race night. The more people who can attend, the better as every last penny made goes back to the club. Promo poster...
  17. Genius! Not an annoying thing at all but best posted in the FB thread. Written by a boy I know from the Gallatown in Kirkcaldy.
  18. To give him his dues, he's cool as f**k considering his head is on fire.
  19. Take a wee sook though, eh? I boosted it to 20p but a genius post like that is worth a quid at least.
  20. The name of a group of fundraisers is incredibly irrelevant though. We could call ourselves, 'The Fundraising Rovers c***s' or 'The League of Extraordinary Fundraising Gentlemen' but the group would ultimately have the same focus of raising money for the football club. That latter would also alienate women. Every Rovers fan, "Just wants to watch football". Some realise that we might not have a Raith Rovers football team to watch without raising additional funds for the club.
  21. There is a lottery sponsor now and wasn't it said that Bill O'Neil was in Hong Kong or something? I've known Bill O'Neil to be very pro-active regarding fundraising in the past. I doubt much will have changed in that respect.
  22. Totally agree too although there may be other reasons that we aren't aware of for the game being played on Tuesday. I trust that the gate money will be split with Cowden so you think Cowden would have preferred that too. The Rovers could have made a wee bit on the bar with the Scotland game being on the three tvs.
