  1. I think Nesbitt's one of those guys who are likely to remain inconsistent, however, I think he's a valuable option and I really like the fact that he never hides, despite what some folk would have you believe. I also think that Long is the better keeper of the two and I would keep him in (although I'd play Hogarth next week). I thought we were fantastic tonight from start to finish and I think that Finn's goal was possibly my favourite moment of the season so far. I've been willing him to score since he first came in because I don't think there's anyone else in the team who deserves it more. I was absolutely delighted for the laddie. He looked like he quite enjoyed it too! Perversely, I wouldn't have been too upset if Utd had won because I was thinking that, we'll surely need to lose at some point and I'd rather it had been tonight than in the league, however, I'm delighted to say that I was thinking a lot of shite because it was a brilliant win against a good team and will have done our confidence the world of good!
  2. I think it will be open. I just hope we don't hear the boos starting if we're getting beat.
  3. Don't think Formartine will be pushovers BTW. They're top of the HL so will probably be L2 standard, we can't afford to treat them lightly. This probably sounds daft, but I believe Hendo is suspended for the Montrose game, so I'd give Mackie a run out in there for both the DU and Formartine games because we've nobody else that can play that role that I can see.
  4. A reminder to fans that the pavements on the main roads around the stadium remain closed, so avoid them tomorrow night.
  5. Now, remember when I said that I didn't think that you were trying to stir things?
  6. I don't get that feeling from these guys at all. I think they're just asking pertinent questions and have the club's (and fans) interest at heart. There are plenty who come on here whenever anything negative appears who want to stir things up, I don't think they're two of them. I could be wrong of course because I don't know them and don't pretend to know anything about the situation with the share option etc., but I don't believe that they're trying to stir things.
  7. I think I'm coming to the conclusion that these folk are genuinely thick! I've said it before, but if they think that a Falkirk squad that's been assembled to win L1 is going to give everyone else a pasting every week, they're utterly delusional. Players are human and are likely to suffer losses in form at some point, that's surely obvious? I see a couple of below par performances has seen pedro reappear with his red dots, despite the fact that we took 4 out of 6 points from them, remain top of the league and are still unbeaten! Maybe it was him that was shouting that 'MacIvor has been shit for weeks and should have been dropped'?
  8. Yea, but surely the council have a responsibility to keep their property and patrons safe? If there had been signs indicating that the pavement was closed with a diversion route for pedestrians, I would have taken it. There wasn't that I can remember.
  9. I think with the next game being the diddy cup, he would play Long anyway, leaving the door open to play him in the next league game, (Assuming he doesn't do anything daft against Utd).
  10. Aye, it's got to be 10/10 for every player, every week for some folk or they're not happy.
  11. Not one of our better performances, but we won, which is the main thing. Spencer wasn't as influential as usual and I wonder if he's still carrying a wee knock? Morrison had a few good crosses in the first half but hardly kicked a ball in the second, Donaldson and Lang strolled it and I thought MacIver was excellent in the 2nd. If McGlynn hadn't done his usual of substituting him for Allan there was a good chance he would have scored with the headed chance that Allan couldn't quite reach. We've tailed off a wee bit in the last few weeks, but I'm confident that we'll regain our form at some point. I think McIndoe's made a big difference to them because I think a few of them should have been in the jail too after that!
  12. Exactly the same coming down from the college. Decided to walk the footpath at the back of the fire station to the bog at the end of the match (which I wasn't aware was there until I saw the stream of folk using it), rather than risk my life walking on the road in the dark. Pure council incompetence! I was maybe risking my life walking in the bog too right enough!
  13. It would be, it's only a few miles to the East.
  14. I wondered if this Andy McNeil was any relation to the Andy McNeil that played for Raith years ago, thought maybe he was his son, so I looked it up and was shocked to see that the senior one is only 36! So only 14 years between them. Old Andy McNeil always looked old to me and I thought he must be well in to his 40s by now.
  15. Given that they're 17 points below us, I'd be happy if QoS start to pick up points because they'll possibly be doing that against teams like Montrose and Cove who are much closer too us. Even if Montrose win their game in hand we'll still be 9 points ahead of them and I think the likes of Alloa, Kelty, Stirling will all be capable of taking points from them too. I think Cove may emerge as the team most likely to break into our space but, as I say, I think that the other clubs are capable of taking points from them. Having said that, whilst we have been great so far, I think it important that McGlynn develops a different strategy in the event that the other clubs suss us out, which is quite likely actually.
  16. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think anyone's arguing otherwise?
  17. He's got a contract until the end of the season has he not? Presumably he's doing the coaching thing with the club's knowledge, so I can't see how we can release him unless he agrees to that? Regarding whether he should go to free up some cash, I'm in two minds about that. He may never play for us again, in which case him leaving would be good, however, I can visualise him making a very positive contribution towards the end of the season, which might just help to see us over the line.
  18. Only one team played any football there boys.
