  1. I hope McCann's injury isn't too bad because we've no replacement currently. Suppose Hendo would need to drop back with Oliver coming into the middle? Or maybe Bisland at RB with Yeats in the centre?
  2. Nesbitt starting to look like a decent squad player. Who would have thought?
  3. TBH I think I'd probably start young Walker (assuming he's a natural left winger). Would keep the balance of the team right and would give him valuable experience. If we can't play him against the bottom team...
  4. As a neutral, it appeared to me that the goalie was blowing Meggison an imaginary kiss, wasn't the face movement that would be needed to spit IMO, although it's obviously difficult to tell exactly. Also, rather than show the ref. the evidence, Meggison seemed at great pains to wipe the 'spit' from his face ASAP. He was also lucky to get away with a booking for the challenge on the keeper in the first place.
  5. It'll be a combination of Nesbitt and Walker replacing Miller I would think, don't think he's any other options. Only other thing I can think of would be to play McCann on the wing once Mackie is available.
  6. I would imagine that the new guy will get a run out against Ayr, maybe with Yeats going into the middle?
  7. We definitely need a RB. It's the only position that we don't have a natural first choice for, never mind back up. We have back up for every other position on the field. I actually think that Finn has been our weakest performer in the last two games, having been caught out a few times. That said, he's young and is learning all the time and I just love his attitude. Never hides and always showing for the ball. Great guy to have in the squad.
  8. I don't know if there's any budget left, if we've overspent or if there may be a few grand left that, in itself wouldn't have been enough to sign another player. If there is anything left however, the money saved from releasing young Pearce, when added to it, may just be enough to attract a loan? Who knows?
  9. Aye, but there's surely no way we should be handing out 2 year contracts....
  10. Lawal offers something different, doesn't always work, but he certainly keeps defences guessing and he gets the crowd up for it. I'd be looking to keep him doing exactly what he's been doing, coming off the bench to punish tired defences and either put some gloss on the scoreline or get us a goal when it doesn't look like we're getting one any other way.
  11. Could we not just have told him to take a break but retain his registration? I suppose all of the options will have been explored though. I was told a few weeks ago that West Brom had offered to buy him but just assumed that would have been shite!
  12. If McGlynn plays Hogarth because of one mistake from Long (possible foul in there too), then I'm going down to the stadium on Monday to kick him in the baws!
  13. There were maybe half a dozen folk on here that were unhappy with the signing, but they're mostly the types that think we should have first dibs on 20 goal a season strikers from the leagues above. I think there were far more that were happy to give the guy a chance and that said they would judge him once we could see what he could do. So far Ross has been excellent, as have been the other new additions. From memory, I think there's only been one of the doubters that have put their hands up to admit that they were wrong about the boy and I'm not holding my breath for the others to join in either! Regarding his contribution on Saturday, he was maybe a wee bit quieter than previously, but he's not the type that goes charging around the place to try to prove himself, he just does what he does very effectively and I'm sure will go on to prove crucial to us.
  14. IMO, Lawal's biggest attribute is coming on to take the pish out of tired defences. Miller not only gives us skill but he also puts in a decent shift which I don't think Lawal's particularly suited too. Nesbitt would certainly give us the effort and application but whether he should be played centrally with Agyeman moving out I don't know? If pushed, I'd play Nesbitt wide left and leave Agyeman where he's been playing. Hopefully it doesn't come to that though!
  15. Anybody know if there's a cash gate available today? Alloa apparently don't want to take my money when trying to buy a ticket!
  16. The chances of Falkirk getting a penalty two games in a row must be almost zero!
  17. Aye, but we can only do that if Brad moves in the first place, unless we get a free loan from somewhere.
  18. I thought he was our 'poorest' performer on Tuesday, still a solid 6 out of 10 though.
  19. Seriously, I hope big Brad manages to get himself another club. His best ultimately hasn't been good enough, but he's tried it (until very recently possibly). He can't be feeling very good about things just now and it would be good for all concerned if he could get fixed up elsewhere.
  20. Aye, definitely Higgins for the Inverness horror show. I believe he has an Italian cousin that's also a goalkeeper!
