  1. You don't rate McGinn then? I don't buy into the 'he doesn't have the legs anymore' rhetoric, he didn't have them when arrived, McGlynn said as much at the time. I think he's a really good player. Look at his performance in the semi final. Best man on the park for me.
  2. Is Spencer not a defensive midfielder? We don't need another one of them. Even if Henderson went back into defence, which I'd prefer, we still have McGinn and Yeats and we should only be playing with one defensive mid in this league anyway IMO. Although he did well in there when he moved forward I felt we were a bit over reliant on Henderson to the expense of having a more creative player in midfield. Latterly McGlynn seemed to be using him as a 'last throw of the dice' in trying to win headers to knock down for others. Felt that was a wee bit desperate in the end. Arfield would be an unbelievable signing of course and, given the circumstances, it may just be possible, if we can offer him a player-coach role. I'd love to see young Max back on loan too if possible.
  3. TBF, now that Williamson's away, we need someone to keep the physio busy!
  4. Given our current situation I've no problem with Nesbitt being a squad player. We are in L1 after all.
  5. I'm not optimistic at all. I think all of our players are shit and every player that our shit manager signs from now on will be shit too. They won't be fit to wear our new shit shirts! In fact, why do we need a management team at all? We should just let our shit board pick the shit team because they should be deciding what shit signings we make anyway!
  6. Aye, I'm sure our sponsors will be happy to take their logo off our shirts!
  7. Aye, just the seven or eight or so outwith 30 miles (probably more, but I can't be arsed checking).
  8. Some are fickle, some are realistic, some are positive. Some appear to be as thick as shit!
  9. Sevco song. Only one team's fans will be singing that tonight!
  10. What was the TOTS? Can't see it online anywhere.
  11. Problem with playing two up front is that McGlynn plays with two defensive mids which makes it difficult to play with two strikers. I don't see him dropping either McGinn or Henderson v Airdrie.
  12. From a non football perspective I think we'd struggle for tickets at Cove as it only holds 3000. Hamilton 6000 (although unsure if that includes the temporary stand) and Arbroath 6600.
  13. I'm certainly no engineer so don't really know how this sort of thing would work, however, I don't think I've ever seen a club remove and reposition a stand roof as part of a refurbishment? Happy to be corrected on that though.
  14. Pish! I remember reading about a man that removed all of the rafters in his loft to give him more room. Could we not just do something similar?
  15. Maybe, canny mind, but, if that's the case why are you continually comparing him to M&M and nobody else?
  16. Would it not be more accurate to compare McGlynn to the guy he replaced rather than M&M? You'd be as well comparing him with John Haggart or Eddie May! It may well be the case that the current BOD feel that the previous one didn't give M&M enough time and don't want to repeat their mistake?
  17. Do you not like Yeats? I'd go: Morrison Williamson McKay Watson Mackie Nesbitt Yeats Lawal McGuffie Allan Wright
  18. What's wrong with Inverness that means they shouldn't beat us in a Scottish Cup semi-final? They're a better side than us currently and are in position to challenge for the Premier. It's entirely acceptable to consider that they could beat us.
  19. Not so sure about nowadays given the costs involved, however, I think a game at Hampden can be a big draw for folk who may not otherwise attend as it can be a great day out. I was speaking to a Celtic fan this morning who took his wife and two kids to our last final because he felt it would be an enjoyable day out for them. Not sure he would have done the same if the game had been at Tannadice, Pittodrie or wherever?
  20. Oh aye, I'm not saying the SFA would allow it, but Stevie Wonder could tell you that there's no colour clash.
  21. Our home kit wouldn't really clash with any of theirs TBH.
  22. Falkirk FC should have navy tops and socks, white shorts with red, white, navy trim somewhere. Don't mind something a bit more jazzy for the away strip. Red & white stripes or white with red sleeves or something like that.
