  1. Not so sure about nowadays given the costs involved, however, I think a game at Hampden can be a big draw for folk who may not otherwise attend as it can be a great day out. I was speaking to a Celtic fan this morning who took his wife and two kids to our last final because he felt it would be an enjoyable day out for them. Not sure he would have done the same if the game had been at Tannadice, Pittodrie or wherever?
  2. Oh aye, I'm not saying the SFA would allow it, but Stevie Wonder could tell you that there's no colour clash.
  3. Our home kit wouldn't really clash with any of theirs TBH.
  4. Falkirk FC should have navy tops and socks, white shorts with red, white, navy trim somewhere. Don't mind something a bit more jazzy for the away strip. Red & white stripes or white with red sleeves or something like that.
  5. Tony Christie's just been on the telly singing Amarillo. It's an omen I tell ye!!
  6. I actually think that Burrell's better at the lone striker role than we give him credit for. Obviously his game's more about the ball over the top but he's strong and has a good touch and control. Oliver's passing's better though and he links things better with the wingers which is why McGlynn probably favours him. I don't think Burrell will be here next season which is a shame because I think he's a cracking player.
  7. My favourite part of yesterday was the big grin on Hendo’s face just as Williamson’s cross reached him because he knew he was going to score!
  8. He didn't get outjumped, he didn't jump at all.
  9. There's not an emoji for it, but I've just staggered across the room and fell oot the windae!
  10. The thing that annoyed me about that interview was his admission that 'we had loads of attacking options'. Why the f**k then John didn't you use them? We should have started with two up top and most certainly shouldn't have replaced Burrell with Oliver. Oliver should have been on far earlier to compliment Burrell, not replace him!
  11. I think the FSS should just have given the option of members donations not buying shares if the individual does not agree with fan ownership. Something along the lines of FSS2 where your money would be ring fenced for the playing budget or whatever. As it is, it does have a feel of the two bodies competing against each other. I don't think there will be many that will buy into FF however. Many of those that say they don't agree with fan ownership will be using it as an excuse because they don't have the connection with the club, can't afford it, or may think it complicated to join so just don't bother.
  12. Yea, I agree. There's no doubt that his form, like the rest of the team, has dropped recently but he's a good footballer and passer of the ball. He's quite effective in getting up over half way and passing lengthy balls to feet as well as long range ones out of defence. The one thing that does bug me with him is his lazy looking style. He looks like he's out for a pleasant stroll rather than playing football. He constantly ignores Rowe who's often in a position to get forward and doesn't get the ball forward quickly enough, often allowing the opposition to regroup. I suppose if he was great at everything he wouldn't be with us right enough.
  13. I think there's a big argument to suggest that finishing 3rd would be better. If we're second and Airdrie 3rd then we go there first. If we manage to get a win or draw then the usual big game expectation of a win would be there for the 2nd leg and we all know what usually happens when that's the case. On the other hand, if they come to us first and they manage a result, then we'll not be expected to win at their place, just the kind of scenario that could see us triumph.
  14. For who though? McGlynn would either have to abandon the two wingers formation or not play Nesbitt. Nesbitt brings a lot of energy to the team (I don't think anyone would disagree with that?) and I think McGlynn likes that. I don't see him dropping McGinn or Henderson for this either. Edit to add that I would absolutely expect Max to come on at some point.
  15. Barring injury or suspension I think that the starting line up for the semi has already been decided. I think he'll go with: Kinnear Rowe, Donaldson, McKay, McCann McGinn, Henderson Morrison, Nesbitt, Kennedy Oliver I think the only possible changes would be PJ for Kinnear and Max for Nesbitt.
  16. I would because of the glory and the money we would make would surely all but guarantee the title next season?
  17. I agree with this. I don't really think it matters which way round these games are played> Airdrie have a good record at the FS while we'll have a big crowd at their place who'll all be pished and roaring us on. There's definitely an argument that it would be better to have the second leg away, assuming we're still in the tie at that point.
  18. Perfect game to play two up front and give Oliver and Burrell the chance to get to know each other's game a bit more. Instead he plays Burrell on his own and fields 5 midfielders who were getting in each other's way at times. I said after about 10 minutes that if Oliver had started instead of McGuffie we'd have been in front. I thought we were at last going to see them together when Oliver came on, I couldn't fucking believe it when he took Burrell off instead. Absolutely disgraceful decision. I can understand him rotating players given the games that are approaching but I'm sure he'll play McGinn and Henderson together in the play-offs and semi so why the f**k play them both together tonight when there's a chance of injury or suspension? I think he's starting to get the fear and he's doubting himself. I hope he's not or that he's now starting to lose the dressing room because, if he is, we're fucked. On this form Airdrie will brush us aside with little effort!
  19. I'm already a member so didn't actually read the content but it certainly got my attention!
  20. Noticed a poster in the bog on Saturday explaining the FSS but asking in big letters that folk join FFS. Not sure if it was a mistake or if they were just trying to drive the point home?!
  21. Burrell also played not too badly in the second half at EEP in the first game. I remember him getting to the bye line and rolling the ball across the goal mouth which Hetherington (I think) just failed to connect with. From memory that was quite late on and would have won the game for us.
  22. It was and I noticed that the laddie demanded the ball from the throw in because he could see that Henderson was in position for a header. He's been a bit unfairly criticised IMO recently but he took a bit of responsibility there.
  23. I think we'll beat Edinburgh and Peterhead but lose to Alloa.
