  1. this was the very first post on this thread. The general response was of agreement. At least we know how the Accies fans are feeling at the moment.
  2. I'm glad Man City got put out, they're like watching paint dry, 120mins where practically nothing happens as they inch toward goal with 100 passes at a time. Dull as f*ck to watch.
  3. the better the quality in the squad the better and yhe more of it even better still. More choice let's us rest players so in the case we got to the play offs (for the Prem that is) we have less chance of blowing out our asses come the 4th, 5th and 6th games like we have in the past.
  4. I know they promised to freeze prices but this is going to bite the club in the bum. If for eg we get promotion next season (just a scenario) the jump in price to compete in that league will need to be huge due to the club keeping ST prices so low for so long. Yes, there is an option to contribute more but is this really a good way to go?
  5. 3 chickens to go (not that I'm counting my chickens). Yesterday's performance against Accies was as good as any this season. Well done to the lads and the fans who were equally as fantastic.
  6. did yir maw type this for you? couldn't resist.
  7. Morrison for POTY is like Messi getting the balloon door, an obvious choice on his goals scored plus assists. I still think Hendo in midfield has been the difference though.
  8. Ross has been brilliant this season, he's a young lad who has improved massively this season and should only get better. What's not to like about him. Sign him up if we can, he'll be great in the Championship. (ps, nae relation)
  9. I'm all for the Ultras but they really really need to drop the flares before someone is hurt with a life changing injury.
  10. personally and I know it's a far out idea but I'd reduce the capacity of the main stand and develop the upper level into more office and hospitality space then a 4th stand may not have 2 ppl in it every week when the club get back to its normal level of support, circa 3500 to 4000 plus away fans. It would take about 1300 seats out of the main reducing it to about 3000 so a 4th stand of say 3000 would give us a capacity of 10,000 which is way more than big enough for Falkirk. if we get a good away support we could easily split the 4th stand and have 3500 away and 6500 home as the split
  11. budget means nothing, a manager can ruin a winning team in a heartbeat. look at what John Lambie did at Falkirk with a side that played really nice football many years ago. Good manages take poor teams and make them decent, decent teams and make them winners, just like Unai Emery has done at Villa, or closer to home Ian Murray at Raith. McGlynn has been brilliant for us, we've spunked budgets on utter dross in the past, both managers and players and inflated BOD's. McGlynn has been excellent so far in his signings, it'll be interesting to see how he strengthens the squad. After Saturday, most of the people I chatted too reckoned we only need 3 or 4 to be competitive next season.
  12. Can't agree more, the arrogance of the BOD at the time was disgraceful. When you make headlines all over Europe on fans forums for the disdain you show to your supporters then you know you're in the wrong job. FFC fans are no different than most, we simply expect the team and club to operate at a level consistent with the size and finances it has in the league it's in. If we were in England we wouldn't expect to be a Championship side but we do in Scotland, and it's not unrealistic to expect us to be pushing for the Premier League place when you consider that Livingston , Ross County, St f*kin Johnstone etc are in there and have been consistently.
  13. some holy water sprinkled around the dugout and garlic hung from the stadium doors should be enough to keep the grease monkey off of the premises. Falkirk win and keep the party going till the big one away to Accies
  14. In isolation and in its own merits we were absolutely awful last night. I thought our tactics and formation were shocking. No wingers, but we play needing two wingers, We play a big man up front who lacks pace but we don't get the ball into his feet and support him or hit the by line and cross it in, then when he comes off we start crossing the ball into the box. 2/10 last night, really really poor and if someone has to take the blame it's Steve Clark for that last night. From Denmark and Spain to Northern Ireland, holy jings what a cliff edge we've just went over.
  15. Falkirk win for me, the team have teeth and a resilience and more importantly several players in blistering form. 2-1 or 3-1 in my book and one hell of a party
  16. Now that Edinburgh are relegated I wonder if the BOD are already making it known who is staying and who is being bumped at the end of the season? This is going to be either a team that simply won't give a flying monkeys about playing or they'll all turn up and give it a right go. Another tricky one for us as we've no idea what sort of Edinburgh will turn up. Still though, at TFS with our support I'm confident we can come away with the points.
  17. any win will do to keep our dream alive of winning the league at TFS against Edinburgh. (as long as Accies drop points).
  18. Our last 2 against Cove and Stirling. Both wins have had a measure of luck, Cove with Burrel's non offside, and yesterday over 90mins Stirling deserved a draw at worst. Just my opinion though
  19. Rose tinted spectacles. We were awful for 30mins, 2nd to every ball and our shape was pulled all over by Stirling. After going to the Stirling Accies game last week I was in no doubt how hard a game we'd get and I thought there would only be a goal in it at most. we didn't deserve to lose but the win was really fortunate.
  20. that is two very poor performances where we really have goy away with wins when they weren't deserved. It underlines just how important Lang is to the whole team ad his presence allows ua to play how McGlynn wants us too. Imm still torn though for player of the year, Lang had been brilliant but Liam Henderson in midfield for me had made the biggest difference and that has really been proven with him having to play in defence the last 2 games.
  21. ok, I know the club said they'd freeze ST prices but that is really going to hurt us next season. To challenge at the top of the Championship is a world away from winning league 1 (if we do). Should there be an ST holder consultation? Maybe keep early bird prices to this seasons full price and dearer for non early bird. Personally I'd be happy to pay more assuming it allows us to strengthen. appreciate not everyone is in that category though
  22. what price do you think FFC will pitch the season tickets at next season IF we win promotion? And what price increase would you be ok with? I reckon they may add £25 to each ST which is fine imo.
  23. I think everyone is missing the point, what's really important at such a crucial point in the season is not what John McGlynn does in rotating a team he's rotated all season and finds us 14 clear with a game in game and 10 to play, but what fancy dress are you wearing to the Alloa game when we're awarded the league title?
  24. 2-0 win tae the Falkirk predict I do. regards Yoda Hughes
  25. calm down everyone, a win on Tuesday at Cove and it's back to 17. Donaldson, Lang et co will be more disappointed than anyone on here so have faith
