2016 Scottish Cup Final - Hibernian FC v Rangers
Richie replied to Bambino7's topic in Domestic Cup Football
SFA can put them forward on the basis of sporting merit, despite the financial rules. Of course, uefa would still have to agree. I think one of the stipulations is 3 years independently audited accounts. Not sure how many years worth (if any) have been submitted . -
Let's All Laugh At Celtic Thread
Richie replied to shull's topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
Bit arrogant. The guy suggesting that Motherwell were trying harder in order that Celtic don't win the league. May have escaped him, but Motherwell required a point to guarantee top six, which I'm sure was a far bigger motivating factor. -
Haha, this is mental.

The whole 2nd Indyref stuff that's spouted all the time does my head in. If the people of Scotland don't want a referendum, they won't vote for a pro-indy party with it in their manifesto. If they don't want Independence, they won't vote for it in the event of a referendum. It's pretty fucking simple. It's completely up to the voter.

It's not hypocritical at all. There's a difference between migrant children/bona-fide refugees and 'economic tourists' etc. There was no context given around the 'strengthening of borders' either.

There isn't a problem, his mauling and subsequent whataboutery was quite amusing though. That's what I was commenting on, although I could maybe have been more concise.

Guy on QT extra on 5live being patronisingly ripped to shreads because he said people chose to be gay. He's likely coming from a religious viewpoint. His religion obviously, being a matter of choice.

The guy condoning bans on homosexuality etc, criticising Trump for his 'repugnant' views. He's not even slightly aware of his hypocrisy.

What song or music would you like played at your funeral?

If we're being semi-serious, probably: Brian Eno - Ascent (An ending) Runrig - Going home (Once in a lifetime live version) Snow Patrol - Finish line. -
New recommended alcohol limit
Richie replied to Miguel Sanchez's topic in The General Nonsense Forum
I like a pint and probably flirt(ed) with the previous guidelines (out of coincidence rather than deliberately). Although, it's exclusively at the weekend. Drinking a bottle of wine per day for an extended period is just ludicrous stuff. The problem is symptoms often don't appear until a liver condition is advanced. Drinking a bottle of wine every day will probably result in a fatty liver before too long. Luckily, this is reversible. I know of a few people this has happened to though and you need to be fortunate for it to be picked up at this stage. You can survive on 1/3rd of your liver too, but it's obviously not as straight-forward as that - E.G Alot of pharmaceuticals to treat other conditions are hepatotoxic. -
The only bit I found slightly funny was the Sevco fan saying "It's not really a new year but".

Saw Rangers fans on Twitter telling Spiers that Wilson owned him, so gave it a listen. As I suspected, Wilson was utterly scrambling for relevance and Spiers becoming increasingly frustrated at the delusion and fuckwittery displayed by him.

I'm not sure, but was that not another instance of witholding tax (small tax case?) Which Rangers admitted liability to? Surely at that point, they couldnt have been sanctioned fot the big one as it was being contested in court - Hence LNS going on the presumption of innocence in that regard when delivering his 'sporting advantage' judgement. I don't know really?

Alot of Rangers fans on Twitter -as usual - giving it the 'They did it too patter'. I'm far from a Celtic fan, but bringing up their use of EBTs is conjecture. They werent taken to court over a notice of complaint by HMRC, they paid/settled the tax due before it got to that stage and therefore by definition did not illegally withold it. Rangers refused payment/contested and lost. It's not the use of EBTs which is the issue. Its the non-payment of tax due.

Just caught up on this. As has been said, Dugdale comes across as an cliché-spouting undergraduate. Just a load soundbytes which are now going over people's heads. She completely lacks conviction and it comes across that she's just saying things which may be popular rather than having firm policies and sticking to them. She's a bit transparent in that respect and lacks credibility.

That "Job, bills to pay, too much" one is annoying also. Another put on accent.

The radio advert with the kids with the faux American/West End/Mid-Atlantic accents. Cant remember the name of it just now.
