  1. I've never had any reason to pay heed to this fella Linehan (and still don't) but I've just checked his wiki profile and he's apparently a grade 1 arsehole. Who'd have thunk it.
  2. That's a big ask given that they are indistinguishable on Brexit, immigration and independence whilst Sir Keith is also less than keen to support workers looking for a fair deal on pay. Little wonder that Jedi and his ilk are avoiding the more traditional left/right debate - "left" has been consigned to the bin by Labour.
  3. Thanks for both of your posts. Essentially, for the small boats people, the official answer is "France" (or similar). Because there doesn't seem to be a way to travel to the UK for the purposes of seeking asylum. You'd need to come in directly from an unsafe country and to do so, you'd probably need a visa and you'd probably need to lie about the purpose of your visit. The sort of people who might reasonably claim asylum whilst in the UK are probably people who have come in on legitimate visas (students?) who might subsequently claim that a return to their own country would be unsafe - perhaps because they were in a same sex relationship and were from the Middle East. That's a tiny number though in comparison to the numbers fleeing persecution. The UK really is saying "f**k you" to every other safe country on grounds of geography. I'm surprised the French aren't just chartering ferries as a "f**k you" back.
  4. Aye, probably but it's a valid question nonetheless.
  5. By way of offering support to many on here and the Home Secretary, is anyone able to provide a comprehensive step by step guide to legally claiming asylum in the UK. Arseholes should note "claim asylum in France" is not a satisfactory response.
  6. Go on then, tell us how the legal route to claiming asylum in the UK actually works.
  7. Anyone remember when the government was banging on about a high skilled, high wage economy? Decent slogan until the folk with skills came calling ...
  8. Nope. It was absolutely capable of revival and even after they moved from £6k to £8k on my wife's car, they were still undervaluing it. £6k was taking the piss and when businesses do that I just wonder how many times they get away with it. They're c***s.
  9. I'm ambivalent towards these 2 people but on the basis that folk might find them hard to like it's useful to look at who's feeling very upset by them. When you see that the "upset group" includes Piers Moron, the right wing media, Tory MPs and a host of OFTWs, I think that on balance, they're ok.
  10. I wouldn't bother with them again. I tested the market with my wife's car and their first offer was £6k. Over the next 2 - 3 weeks it went up to £8k by ignoring them. I can't be fucked with that. Also, I contacted to sell them a van which was off the road. They said they wouldn't buy it unless I took it to their Falkirk base. From that I deduce that they don't buy any car. Charlatans.
  11. They need charged pronto and assets frozen.
  12. These comparison pieces hit the nail on the head for me. I've got zero interest in the wider shitshow but this sort of media bullying is something we see on repeat in this country.
  13. I'm definitely borrowing "grief fleecing c**t". Chapeau.
  14. That boy Witchell grinds my gears. Quote on the 6pm news: "but the idea that ANYONE was out to destroy her (Markle), frankly I think is absurd ...". He may or may not be right but that's only his fucking opinion. And when you see how some in the media are behaving (especially the right wing nut job element), how the f**k does he know what level of briefing is going on? If we've learned nothing else from the Andrew thing, it's that the media don't go in hard on the Royal Family. There would have been f**k all on the BBC if he himself hadn't made a voluntary rip-roaring c**t of things.
  15. Piece of advice for wee Hi Risk - see instead of threatening to outlaw the right to strike, have a look through all the c***s that took advantage of the VIP lane and get the stolen money back. That vacuous bint will just be the tip of the iceberg. But then, Hi Risk knows this - just not keen on closing doors for corrupt wankers.
  16. Her (stolen) money is already offshore and she'll just f**k off and join it. What definitely won't happen is that the taxpayer will see any of the Medpro money or the attached commission. She'll sit in a tax haven and fire a middle digit to the rest. Shameless c**t like the rest of her ilk.
  17. £1.129bn to be more precise should they decide to add in the shoe-in from Baroness Mone-then.
  18. "Buckingham Palace Aid" who happens to be Godmother to the current Prince of Wales.
  19. I'm in catch up on this thread but the SNP sitting down etc has f**k all to do with anything. The Supreme Court didn't rule on the basis of the competence of the argument and Westminster will never rule on the basis of the competence of the argument. That element matters after the route to a democratic outcome has been established.
  20. They will lose but if that defeat resulted in the party completely imploding as you seem to be suggesting then they would be finished for a long, long time. I wouldn't fret - he'll be suggesting the opposite next week. Like Douglas Ross, this one spins like a top to suit the tory mood du jour.
