Jacksgranda
Had cracking news today, it's official, my granddaughter can see. Registered blind in 2012 by a 'specialist', the same guy has now confirmed she can. We've known for a while and have fought to get her reassessed. She's gradually got better with tracking, helped since new year, when she stopped using scopaderm patches, which can blur vision and gets Botox injections twice a year now. Small steps for the princess Excellent news.

heedthebaa
And at what age was she declared "blind"?1 yr old Swarley. She was born HIE, resulting in brain damage and diagnosed with distonic cerebral palsy. Where people celebrate standing, crawling etc, we celebrate when she turns her head towards you and makes eye contact. Knowing for certain now she can see is a massive plus

Jacksgranda
Cheers they are keeping him overnight to be on the safe side. I'm sure everything will be allright, but it's a worry when they're that wee, and even more so when they take a reaction to something that's supposed to help them.

Andy Dufresne
Thanks guys, yes he is ok just took a reaction to his jags and his temp was down so they were worried but he is back to his smiley way now and I got big cuddles off him Edited August 9, 2015 by keithgy
Jacksgranda
Can't beat big cuddles - or high fives from a 5 year old who's too big to give Granda kisses. His little brother still gives me a kiss before "spitting" it out as he charges out the door!
Cityfan
Any one have any experience on dealing with Hyperemesis gravidarum? My wife is almost 16 weeks and has been suffering from this since pretty early on and has been in and out of hospital getting fluids all the time. She's well past the 12 weeks stage that all of this is supposed to end which suggests she could be in it for the long haul but it's a horrible thing to sit and watch someone go through and I feel pretty useless. It's easy to compare our kids with additional needs to those who have none, especially when progress is so slow sometimes.
