saints1884
i think that could benefit a few dads as well. I cant understand why blokes pee all over the place when going. They have been standing pissing in the toilet nearly all their lives,so why is it so fucking hard for them to piss in the toilet?

They have been standing pissing in the toilet nearly all their lives,so why is it so fucking hard for them to piss in the toilet? The problem is that it doesnt always come out in the same direction two pees in a row or even consistenly through the duration of a single pee. Quite often you can be peeing straight into the pan when suddenly and without warning a breakaway stream fires off at a 45 degree angle. Take a garden hose, cover the end with your thumb and and try to aim it into a bucket. This will give you an indication of the challenge. The problem is exacerbated after any kind of arousal and/or alcohol Please Note- I can only speak for as a cavalier - roundheads may have a different experience Edited March 2, 2012 by diamonds2002

And on top of all of that, even if you have mastered the wonky angles and double streams, there is a remarkable amount of spray that comes from the tip and spray back after the main jet has hit the toilet. Assuming there's a reasonable pressure, it is quite literally impossible to leave the toilet rim completely unscathed. Ladies, if you think it's easy, try it for yourself. Hold your boyfriend's / husband's / stranger's wee fella while he's doing a piss. I bet most of it ends on the seat or the floor.
saints1884
Why dont you sit down to piss like a little girl. I'd hate to see the state of the toilets in the pubs that you blokes go to!

Adam
I sometimes sit down for a piss, as a treat, mind.
Skyline Drifter
Well that was an interesting hour and a bit! Having spent half the day trying to work out how not to kill off the two goldfish their Aunty bought them this weekend (Steven called his one "George" after Curious George. Thomas called his "Dino" after his favourite nursery teacher) all was going well once they'd gone to bed until Thomas started projectile vomiting across his room. Bed absolutely covered in sick, and the wall beside it. Nursed him by the toilet for a while and through another vomiting incident before getting him off to sleep in our bed only for him to be woken by more throwing up 10 minutes later. I mostly managed to keep that off our bed though. He's away to sleep in our bed again now. Hopefully the worst is past. Mummy and Granny have scrubbed down his bedroom and quite incredibly Steven has slept through the whole thing even when the lights were on in their bedroom for cleaning. ....................................... Even mid typing this I had to run for another basin incident. This could be a loooooong night. EDIT - It was a long night. Up every 20 mins to half hour for more sickness through to 5am. He was ok today, wee bit sorry for himself maybe, and not eating yet, but otherwise ok. Daddy took the day off to watch him at home. Still trying to get to grips with keeping bloody fish though! Anyone any tips? Edited March 5, 2012 by Skyline Drifter
RH33
GMan, at least it's only gestational and not for life that she has diabities. Also my son arrived at 37 weeks and was perfectly fine. He was bigger at 11 months than his full term sister. SD, did the aunt check that it was ok to get the fish before hand because if not I'd be suggesting they lived at her house as buying any pet without checking is raher inconsiderate! And barffing children are a nightmare as they never hit the loo or the basin! Hope he's better.
Lisa Cuddy
To be honest we are not sure on this, We think it may not be, this is what made her pretty much lose the plot today Think about it logically. What can you realistically expect to do? You can't take it away, you can't speed the pregnancy up and you can't change what it happening. You CAN be there for her and that's what you're doing. I doubt she's expecting anymore from you than that.
Reina
38 weeks is full term. Try not to worry. Baby will be fine, and so will your wife. Even if she does have diabetes, she will be on medication to control it. It is not the end of the world. Chin up.
RH33
38 weeks is term. Plus as she has diabetes baby will be bigger anyway which is good. Niamh has had two reactions this week. One trip to out of hours and today's was at nursery. First time they've had to deal with it and reacted as instructed. They didn't call me as once piriton given it calmed down. She's not growing well and hv, gp and us are worried about nutrition so all of us putting pressure on specialist to see her prior end may.
Reina
Poor wee munchkin And poor you, must be so stressful. On the food issue, I've decided it's time to get tough with the wee man and he needs to start eating properly. I'm sick to death of pandering to his ideas of what a meal should be. So he went to bed hungry tonight as he refused to eat what I'd made. Oh well...
RH33
Ruairidh refused last two nights meals. I've always only cooked one meal since he was about 9months. Hard nosed mummy! But I didn't like last nights either. Can't be doing with fussy eaters but Niamh gets away with it seeing as wrong food could actually kill her.
Reina
I reckon Niamh is allowed to refuse
Skyline Drifter
SD, did the aunt check that it was ok to get the fish before hand because if not I'd be suggesting they lived at her house as buying any pet without checking is raher inconsiderate! And barffing children are a nightmare as they never hit the loo or the basin! Hope he's better. She didn't no, Mrs SD wasn't overly enamoured either. Ach I'm getting used to the idea now and the boys have given them names which personalises the whole thing. Just got to try not to kill them now (the fish, not the boys). Thomas was very good about sitting with his head over the basin later but it was heartbreaking ("I no like it, no WANT it", "I been sick in the big bed"). He's fine now and no sign of Steven getting it yet. However...............Mrs SD got it last night (and her mother has it too) and two schools in Annan are shut for it apparently so clearly they've brought the plague back with them from visiting there at the weekend! Shame, the rest of them were all going away for two days by the shore today leaving me in peace. Instead I've got two kids and a wife to look after. So much for my peace and quiet........ Good luck GMan and Rowan. Edited March 7, 2012 by Skyline Drifter
Reina
I'm giggling away at Gina Ford's latest advice for "contented mothers". The woman is a beast. Mumsnet has been hilarious this morning!
pub car king
Well we did our first round of controlled crying last night what cruel b*****d came up with that don't know ho cried more the baby or her mum. After 45 minutes she more or less passed out with exhaustion. So it did work but watching her clinging to her bear for comfort was pretty shite

After 45 minutes she more or less passed out with exhaustion. So it did work but watching her clinging to her bear for comfort was pretty shite I think we've been extremely lucky to have avoided this sort of thing. Thomas used to like being cuddled off to sleep but quickly got used to not being when he went to his own cot and later bed. Steven never liked it at all. He's always preferred to grab his teddy bear and get himself to sleep. He used to cry if anyone went near him when he was trying to get to sleep!
