Anyone know if there will be a POTY Night this year and if so what are the ticket arrangements?

I've been told that we will be having an official POTY night on the 29th after the Peterhead home game, but nothing official yet.

Now the focus on playing Knox and some of the younger ones who haven't had a chance!

The other focus is signing players like Gallagher, Halkett and Buchanan up for next season. Wonder if we'll hear of any releases etc soon?

John Ward, the same John Ward that owns Krafty Brew and had previous connections to Fasteq also ? Could be a shout that, clearly wants to be involved with the club.

He is already involved???

I guess he just wants to front up the previous debt racked up by Livi5. Gordon Ford clearly isn't involved much these days.

If it's John Ward who's currently on the board, then that's a fairly encouraging move I'd say. Doesn't seem like a total throbber and if he can get any remnant of Rankine's tentacles out of the club then he'll be off to a good start. Next stop would be disposing of the inevitable baggage surrounding Martindale and his less than transparent involvement behind the scenes.

Hopefully the EGM brings forth an announcement about a plastic pitch too.

Andy Gemmell has announced his retirement from the Livingston FC Board of Directors with immediate effect.

The Directors of Livingston 5 Ltd have accepted, in principle, an offer from a company led by John Ward and members of the Operations Committee for the purchase of their majority shareholding in Livingston FC, subject to the agreement of the Livingston 5 Ltd shareholders.

The offer is also subject to the completion of due diligence by the new company and approval by the necessary Football authorities.

The conclusion of the transaction is due shortly where thereafter the new company will be setting out its future plans which will include a Fans share offer with funds raised being ring fenced for the development of the First Team playing squad.

It all seems fairly positive which is unusual, getting the fans involved is a step forward, engaging the fan base with the club has been lacking for years now.

Very early stages so will wait and see what the plans are when this is all confirmed but stability for the first time in a long time seems to be the overriding feeling right now.

Only time will tell though.
