Does anyone know much about boats? I'm going out on an inflatable kayak on the Forth on Monday. I don't want to appear soft but I've heard of folk drowning, needing life jackets etc. I don't think my pal has much in the way of PPE.

Goodbye, sweet prince.

Couple of questions.

Hogmanay up at Stonehaven, do you need a ticket to see the fireballs? Also is there any other events that happen up there?

no need to go to Stonehiven- just rub deep heat on your groin: how's that for fireballs...!

Fass was excellent yesterday

It's an imposter I'm afraid. Obviously someone else who spends night after sleepless night thinking about an appropriate username.

There are two things ye shall know about the Dee Man. First, he is a Dee. second, he is, a man.

I absolutely detest painting and will do anything to avoid it. But I have to paint a small plastic item, would I need a primer before using a small amount of emulsion on it?

No fire the paint on. Did the same myself to one of those d line things for wiring and it was fine. Needed two coats though.

Any good games for wee plastic toy soldiers?

I got them for my kids (2 and 4) and other than an early fannying about I realised I don't know any games for these wee b*****ds (that's the soldiers not the kids).

Sit them down in front of All Quiet on the Western Front, they'll get the idea.
