Home Bargains do some really decent packs of brushes for about £6. My experience of cheap brushes has almost universally been negative. I buy the Crown Trade packs of brushes from the Crown Centre. Though one of my staff, the painter, is old school and thinks it's sacrilege to use any gloss that isn't oil based. I’ve probably got the packaging in the depths of the van but there’s one particular Home Bargains set that has red and handles, a couple of cutting in brushes, a couple of 2 inch and a bigger one. They don’t seem to agree with Dulux acrylic stuff but for most paints they are really decent and so cheap. Painting a shop front today and two different ladies took my card and asked if I could come round and paint their windows. Are they just trying to trap me into some modern slavery? Another possibility is that his clothes are the exact same colour as the walls he has painted and her eyesight isn't good enough to see that he is actually still there!
