A friend of mine's cat went missing last Monday. Yesterday a neighbour admitted that his two dogs were off the leash and killed it. The vet is pushing my friend to report it to the police as there have been issues with his dogs previously and other cats have gone missing in the same area. The vet also thinks he should pay for the cat's cremation. So on one hand she wants to make sure that cats in the area are safe from being attacked, and she's worried about the possibility of the dogs attacking a child, but on the other she doesn't want to have two pets put down. She's obviously in a pretty emotional state as it is, having found out the pet she raised from birth was ripped to pieces, and the idea of getting the police involved will add a layer of stress onto that.
