The New Raith Rovers Thread

Recommended Posts

EF fans haven't had a lot to shout about this season, or for many seasons come to think of it,  so I'll allow them putting the boot in at the moment. They'll feel mightily stupid if we do somehow claw this back and go up, not that I think we will mind you.

I'm confused did East fife get promoted? They seem to be gloating an awful lot despite being our bitches all season.

You might be confused about the meaning of 'gloat'.

dwell on one's own success or another's misfortune with smugness or malignant pleasure

I don't understand it. Why would you want us in the same league as you next season? Even with Barry "no plan a or b" Smith in charge you can't beat us.

Fwiw I sat in the supporters bar in New BayView at the start of the season and felt sorry for the supporters in there. All seemed a reasonable bunch of guys who had been let down by the players and management that day. One director had the balls to come in and was hounded. Fair play to him for doing that.

Your just our cute neighbours. It seems a one way rivalry.

Because it's funny.

I'd rather Raith went up tbh.

No, they’re still utter shite. Lost their last home game to Stranraer. Their fans - who have been very quite since that 5-0 horsing in August - seem somehow emboldened by our recent humbling by Alloa.

Well, thank goodness that’s over.

I can honestly say that’s one of the dullest season’s I’ve ever spent following the Rovers, title challenge or no title challenge.

At least the Anelka season had an, “I was there” quality, while last season had some genuine laugh out loud moments, but that one? Lumpen dreck from September onwards. I think I enjoyed about five games, at a push.

The team’s regression over the last two years is pretty remarkable, and the people involved in decision making at the club over that time should be genuinely embarrassed.

However, hopefully we can improve over the summer and be in a position to give teams like Alloa a bit more of a game next season.
