I can honestly say that’s one of the dullest season’s I’ve ever spent following the Rovers, title challenge or no title challenge. At least the Anelka season had an, “I was there” quality, while last season had some genuine laugh out loud moments, but that one? Lumpen dreck from September onwards. I think I enjoyed about five games, at a push. The team’s regression over the last two years is pretty remarkable, and the people involved in decision making at the club over that time should be genuinely embarrassed.
