The New Raith Rovers Thread

Recommended Posts

You know what I'd like to see in place following this wee bit of financial reconstruction today? Some form of agreement put in place to allocate a small percentage of any year end profits for the repayment of soft loans.

Hopefully we'll be able to post profits a little more often in future, and while there are more pressing things to be paid off (which would be taken into account pre-profit posting anyway) I'd like to see maybe 5% or 10% of anything we do make used to chip away at the debts that we owe to directors past and present. It's important that these loans are addressed like any other, because as we've seen from other clubs in this county, it can be just a matter of time before a benevolent gesture becomes a millstone around the club's neck.

It must be the case that we'll have access to this training facility rather than actually owning it.

Perhaps the Council have taken Pitreavie back from the Pars given that they are potless.

An interesting part is "and once our remaining targets return from holiday, manager Grant Murray will complete this vital part of our preparations for the first season under the Scottish Professional Football League banner".

Andy Barrowman has been linked and is currently in Las Vegas, whilst Cardle is in Dubai (according to their twitter accounts). Could be making 2+2 and getting the completely wrong answer but certainly ties up to the rumours going about.

Rovers are gonna be training at glenrothes next season after the sports centre was renovated and new pitches laid. They have been training all round the country so having settled training facilities may help them and maybe get the club involved in the community.

Glenrothes could be a great place to recruit a few new fans perhaps. Having access to stable training facilities is a great move, as is McGurn signing. A great feeling at Stark's Park...?

Extra prize money available next season maybe the reason plus McGurn had (according to rovers mates) a hand shake agreement to sign couple weeks back.

No matter how bad the season is Raith stand to make approx atleast an extra £50k in prize money which in laymens terms = another 2-4 players at this level :D
