Fucks sakes talk about a climb down!

I'm still fucked off about the whole thing, believe me. But ranting on and on about it is going to help no one. What's done is done. If McCulloch comes in it'll set me off again, though.

Complaining about it day in, day out and voicing such opinions at matches from day one will help absolutely no-one.

I'm not really sure what you expect? It's down to Locke to prove us all wrong.

Astounded that any professional team in Scotland would give him a job.

During his time at Killie the team he assembled at the start of the season was extremely poor. His scouting network extended to Tynecastle and Hearts rejects such as Carrick, Robinson, McHattie, Hamill etc. His tactics were poor and he played players out of position such as Boyd as a number 10. We continually made the same mistakes again and again game after game and he couldn't eradicate the errors. He presided over the worse spell of defeats of any Killie manager (and we have had some poor ones such as Jim Clunie!!). He had Billy Brown scouting for him so I expect that either Brown or someone else he has worked with will come in as part of his backroom staff. He accepts no blame for defeats and will blame everything apart from himself.

He may have learned from his mistakes at Killie and be a successful manager but I doubt it just as I had my doubts when Killie appointed him. Levein got rid of him from Hearts because he didn't rate him as a coach and he was proven correct by Locke's spell at Killie. I'd be equally astounded as I am that he got another job if he comes a successful manager.

Who was worse Killie manager between Locke and Allan Johnston?

Johnston was a very poor manager.  Locke was a million times worse.

I'm puzzled by all the comments about the "difficult working conditions" he had at Killie.  Can anyone elaborate on what was supposedly so difficult for him?  He was well backed by our board and was given the opportunity to sign a lot of his own players.

So....Gary Locke eh?

Should be a good replacement for McKinnon...

In all seriousness though, the attendances are awful at the moment, what the f**k are your board thinking by appointing somebody who will not only play shite football, but lose while doing so?

A Raith thread is probably not the place to discuss it but was AJ that bad at Killie? I thought he was doing okay until falling out with the directors over them getting rid of players behind his back.

No.  He was a terrible manager who used a player being sold as an excuse to resign and preserve his reputation.

He took over Kenny Shiels' squad which had been in contention for the top six in the previous season, and still had many of the players who won the League Cup the year before that.  He almost immediately dismantled that squad and brought in a selection of substandard shite who he persisted with for most of the season.  He took us to the brink of relegation, but Kris Boyd dug us out of a hole.  He lost 5-0 to a Hearts team managed by Gary Locke, FFS.

Elbows has been an ever present at San Starko this season attending at least half a dozen development league games, I fear his homework may be complete.

Not just elbows, but forearm smashes, and possibly the odd stamp too. Welcome to Starks, Lee!

Now if you could just get Hamill in we can start working on making us Airdrie circa '92. Cup Finals ahoy!

Hank Scorpio to mount a dirty protest with excrement smeared white bedsheets and the words 'not in my name' and 'sack the board' scrawled in a rage. Tent from Millets and silent (dirty) protest outside Starks until the bitter end.

Should be some tasty games. The mighty BRE will be quite an addition to the league. Think Robocop with tattoos.

Hideous appointment but hopefully if Craig Barr thought it was still worth signing under him then there might be a glimmer of hope. If Locke brings elbows in though..... Unless he uses his rangers connections to get hardy back for the season but think I'm being too optimistic.
