Made a little mental note that if it was a decent enough place for him to eat then it might be worth a visit. Just found out that he owns the friggin place. I have always fancied it but usually go to the Raeburn or Hectors when I’m down that way. It’s Tom Kitchens wife who runs it, not Tom himself. Booked in advance. I would say try it out, the food is good, but we paid £80 for a main course each, sharing a dessert and a couple of drinks, which is steep for a glorified pub.

I’ll try it out in the summer time I think! I plan to go to The Kitchen at some point soon, as I think it would justify the price with the quality!

Cerberus
Maybe I am getting old but the thought of flying puts me off traveling. Security, jetlag, other wanky travelers, sitting for 8+ hours, cases, fighting with the burd... it's more trouble than it's worth. Unless it's something spectacular or something I really wanted to see I wouldn't bother. Granted I don't need to live with 10 months of Scottish weather.
