I've still not had my letter arrive. Wonder if I should read anything in to that.

Mine came yesterday - but doesn't have to be completed until 20 March. Letter says the form can be filled in now but doesn't that defeat the purpose of the census itself, which is to provide a snapshot of the country on one particular day? If I fill it in now, then on the 20th I happen to be staying somewhere else, I should be included in the census for that address. So I'd appear twice!

As an obvious bigamist, future generations will appreciate your game.

I'm starting to fall apart, first my lungs, then my prostate, now I've to get a test for glaucoma.

Hope all goes OK.

I sat through many talks on glaucoma years ago. There are treatments available.

I maybe haven't even got it, I'm not sure how to read the discussion I had with the optician yesterday, whether she thinks I have it or not.

If this test confirms their suspicions I might have glaucoma I get referred on to hospital, as the specialist there is the only one who can actually confirm the diagnosis.

From memory, glaucoma is excessive eye fluid causing the eyeball to become over pressurised and a bit hard, when they should be a bit squidgy. Mostly it's eyedrops that are the treatment - they stopped putting leeches directly on the eyeball back in the 80s.

That's a relief...

(The optician said the pressure behind my eyeballs was low (normal?), but we'll find out in the course of time.)

Is everyone on here getting this advert?

No, i'm getting one for what looks like a camp spoof of the ipcress files and something about appkying for jobs in care.

The latter is probably because of the wife using the search on my phone. Not saying that's definitely why you've a divorce ad, but....
