The real story is the whole PE class were lobbing rubber training shotputts at each other (which is still quite dangerous, they weigh the same), and the lad that died threw one at his, well, killer Somewhat rightly he confronted him and then, wrongly, started punching him in the face, and a few minutes later the boy took a cardiac arrest. Shame for both of them, I guess. Edit: ffs, other reports saying it was softballs being thrown. In any case balls of some unconfirmed description were being chucked about! Such a shame for someone so young to die, moreso unnaturally. Think of the amount of the playground scuffles that take place between 14 year old boys, is it really fair to charge him with murder? Yourself and I don't know exactly what happened. Its been suggested that the whole class were throwing softballs at one another... They both sound like a couple of rather undesireable young boys, the boys who caved the others face in must have been putting a fair amount of aggression into it if he took a cardiac arrest, and, er...died.
