peasy23
Been a while since they've had a Mountain TT? I wonder if that will suit Froome, assuming he's made a comeback by then.2016 according to this, although it didn't actually finish on top of the climb.https://www.cyclingweekly.com/news/racing/tour-de-france/brief-history-tour-de-france-mountain-time-trials-tourmelet-tt-rumoured-2019-397921
Salvo Montalbano
I2016 according to this, although it didn't actually finish on top of the climb.https://www.cyclingweekly.com/news/racing/tour-de-france/brief-history-tour-de-france-mountain-time-trials-tourmelet-tt-rumoured-2019-397921I can't really remember that one. I might have been on holiday at the time and missed it. It may have been the year my phone was nicked on holiday so I'd have had other things on my mind. The last one I can remember is the Armstrong Alpe d'Huez one.

Stage 20 is a 36km time trial finishing at the top of La Planche des Belles Filles. Been a while since they've had a Mountain TT? I wonder if that will suit Froome, assuming he's made a comeback by then. It would surely suit Bernal even more than Froome.
Salvo Montalbano
Mark Cavendish joins Mikel Landa, Wout Poels and Dylan Teuns at Bahrain Merida for next season, with his former coach Rod Ellingworth as team principal. They are likely to be called Bahrain McLaren next season too. Should be a decent squad, although maybe not strong enough to challenge Ineos and Jumbo Visma.

Poels and landa will want gc squads built around them, not carrying roulers and lead out men

well fan for life
Filippo Ganna breaking the Individual Pursuit world record twice in a couple of hours. 4.02, which is fucking mental.Seen Cavendish mentioning it’s something Ineos should pick up akin to the sub 2 hour marathon. A sub 4 minute individual pursuit would be wild to see.

Not sure about that. By admitting his guilt, Freeman must have some sort of deal agreed or hoping that the GMC will only suspend him. I'm looking forward to Shane Sutton's testimony. Then there's Wiggins...
Bishop Briggs
The Freeman hearing is getting very spicy - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cycling/50387501 "Ex-British Cycling technical director and Team Sky head coach Shane Sutton is "a doper", Dr Richard Freeman's lawyer has claimed at a medical tribunal. "Our case about Mr Sutton is that he's a habitual and serial liar," said Mary O'Rourke QC. "He's a doper, with a doping history."

peasy23
Raymond Poulidor passes away, 8 times on the podium at the Tour de France without ever reaching the top step. Unfortunate to be racing at the same time as Anquetil and Merckx or undoubtedly he would have managed at least one win.https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cycling/50403160
Bishop Briggs
Sam Bennett has signed for Deceuninck Quickstep from Bora Hangrohe and taken his lead out man, Shane Archbold, with him - https://www.cyclingnews.com/news/sam-bennett-signs-with-deceuninck-quickstep/. That's a great move for him as he won't have to fit his schedule around Peter Sagan's.

Salvo Montalbano
Rohan Dennis joins Ineos Will be interesting to see how he does there and what his programme for next year looks like.Yeah, quite a strange one and doesn't really fit in with their profile. Is Kenny Elissande still there?
jaggyness
Yeah, quite a strange one and doesn't really fit in with their profile. Is Kenny Elissande still there?I wondered this too. He's listed on their roster on their website but I thought I'd heard he was moving on? I wonder if this is to try and curb a move by jumbo who could potentially field roglic, dumoulin, Bennett and kruiswijk. Gives ineos some real firepower that's for sure. I think they might put all their eggs in the one basket next season and get froome a 5th tour and sacrifice the other grand tours
