Ira Gaines
An extraordinary show. Everything Now Continued into Wake Up needs to be a staple on the sets after this tour. That was perfect. Don't You Forget About Me kicking off was some feeling as well.
Estragon
Another one who went along to the Hydro last night for what can only be described as the best show I've seen in a long time - if not ever. First time I'd seen them since they toured The Suburbs at the SECC and it was utterly brilliant. Exactly the kind of thing they built that venue for.
well fan for life
Arcade Fire was the best thing I've seen live since the last time I went to see Arcade Fire.
SweeperDee
Keep the car running was also fucking immense. Can we also appreciate the fucking light show as well? The big f**k off disco balls added to it as well; a complete spectacle.
well fan for life
That was my 4th time seeing them and it was, again, utterly spectacular. I've seen them at the SECC touring The Suburbs, The Barrowlands as The Reflektors and Primavera Sound last year. Every single time I've been completely blown away. Without a doubt the best band in the world today. So many highlights from last night. From the first kick of the ball to the final whistle it was the kind of thing that venue was built to host.
Harry Kinnear
I thought the atmosphere was fantastic. I know it was a Monday night and granted I was sitting but I didn't see a lot of drunks. Just a lot of folk of all ages singing, dancing and having a great time.

++Ammo - Airdrie++
Jim Kerr? Are you fucking kidding? My claim to fame, I fitted a set of electric gates at a house belonging to him in Milngavie about 14 years ago.... And Carol Smiley passed by walking a dog.

GrahamJags
Lucy Dacus tomorrow night at The Hug & Pint. Historian is one of my albums of the year, so really looking forward to this. Will invariably end up at The Low Anthem in Stereo on Saturday night as well, despite the fact that they're a bit self-indulgent (rubbish) now, but Haley Heynderickx is supporting who is fantastic.
Ira Gaines
Speaking of the Hug and Pint, I've decided to go see Anna Burch there on May 8th. Love her debut album.

Lucy Dacus is great, especially when she's with a band. Unfortunately, her live set has a god awful lull in the middle where she plays her weaker (lower tempo, usually) songs solo. If she's playing a shortened set then it's a terrific show. ETA: she's far from alone in that. The new Low Anthem record is, with one possible exception, terrible. Not sure what the producer was playing at. I suspect it might work better live. Edited April 19, 2018 by Savage Henry

Yeah, I'm hoping she's got a band with her tomorrow night. Some of her newer material in particular probably wouldn't sound that great solo. From what I can see, it looks like she's been playing full 14 song sets, so looks like there'll be that lull. Is your one exception Give My Body Back as well? Sticks out like a sore thumb on the record in the best possible way. Fantastic song, but the rest of it is pretty horrendous. I thought it was a production thing on Eyeland as well, but I saw them twice on that tour and they were even worse live. Left early both times.
Crroma
Trivium tonight in Glasgow. 16th time seeing them live [emoji3] I genuinely wished i cared about any band enough to see them multiple times especially one that mediocre
Savage Henry
I genuinely wished i cared about any band enough to see them multiple times especially one that mediocre Bit harsh! I’ve never heard of them, but like you I think it’s really cool to dig a band that much. If I end up seeing The Glory Fires 16 Times, I will be ecstatic.
