Why do you think him?

Think he’s got previous in a similar sort of vein, a split with the wife last year, wee titbits of clues in the article. Nothing compelling, just wild speculation on my part.

If said minor was female then I would not put it past him as he does give off Thumbish vibes, it has been established that the victim is male though.

I’ve missed that bit; if that’s right then I’d say I was wide of the mark.

Seems to be have been more widely reported this morning, after it was all they & them yesterday. A really shit state of affairs irrespective of who it actually is.

I don’t know where it’s confirmed it was a male so don’t write yourself off yet.

The person in question was 17 at the time of payments so is this actually illegal or just vastly inappropriate?

One newspaper did a countdown to a model, Linsey Dawn McKenzies 16th birthday where the readers could finally see her topless on page 3. It was one of the creepy tabloid incidents that was highlighted during the Saville era.

So I don't think any of it is illegal, Using power and influence for gratification could be seen as coercing someone in to commenting a sexual act but it would be pretty hard to prove. Their career will be over though. If there is no criminal charges, the BBC would find it hard to fire them without a payoff.

Maybe not illegal but certainly creepy behaviour.

See also Church, Charlotte. Looking back that behaviour was fucking mental, no wonder so many of them got away with being beasts for so long.

It's perfectly legal for a 50 year old (random age, not a clue) to have consensual sex with a 16 or 17 year old (unless the 50 yo is a teacher/guardian etc) but it's illegal to solicit sexy photos from them.

It's a bit odd that the Sun didn't name him in a Sunday blockbuster exclusive, and that the BBC are hinting that they haven't been able to get in touch with the family making the complaints. I wonder if the Sun has been sold a pup by a rogue freelancer.
