Is there anyone who just casually likes star trek/wars?

Seems to be like smack for nerds. You can't just dabble, have to fully commit.

Original Star Wars trilogy.

Star Trek original and DS9, rewatched Enterprise a few years and it wasn't too bad.

I like some Star Trek (3 of the old films), and don't like some Star Trek (3 of the original films and the JJ Abrhams films).

I like the original Star Wars trilogy, some of the newer films and have never seen any of the "expanded Universe" stuff like Mandalorian or the animated stuff.

Fixed for me.

That said, I've only ever seen the 80s films and JJ Abrhams' character assassination efforts.  Never bothered to watch the original series despite having Paramount.

Tbh, I wouldn't bother with the Mandalorian even if it was free on my Fire stick, despite knowing the original trilogy almost word for word.  I always see spin-off series as being for the type of folk that got past the first half hour of the Matrix 2 (whatever it's called).

I think the true test of "devotion, etc" is cost.

I watched all the Star Trek variants when they were on "ordinary" telly, and we already had Netflix when Discovery came on. Mrs Salt and Vinegar has Amazon Prime, so that took care of Picard. However I'll be Donald Ducked if I'm taking out any more channel subscriptions for Strange New World or whatever comes next.

Jordan Peterson was an associate Harvard professor and was one of the most cited academic psychologists in his era, cited 10,000 times.  I think his speciality was the psychology of alcohol abuse.

Now he's arguing with Elmo on Twitter and, if you read any of his content, is clearly massively neurotic, borderline insane.  What a life.

I’m betting on Elmo in that HtH. Debate or best of three falls.

He had tried to chat me up when I first joined the company. I refused him, which is why I think this started.

Some effort Boab.

Strange New Worlds is about a million times better than Picard.

As has been said, Strange New Worlds is the best variant for ages, just buy the dvds.
