itzdrk
How old are you? This is unacceptable behaviour for anyone over the age of 14. ^ ^ ^ The next man kicking up fuss.

Shelldon
How would I go about changing windows 10 32-bit to 64-bit?
Homer Thompson
How would I go about changing windows 10 32-bit to 64-bit? Re-install it but use the 64-bit version. To be honest, Im surprised they still bother with a 32-bit version. 8Gb is pretty standard these days and is becoming the minimum requirement for newer games

Because of how they work, theyre pretty underspeced compared to a laptop Tried that, didn't give me an option for 64 bit it just installs 32? Yeah it's for a game I need to update it Then you only have the 32-bit version. Should be able to download the 64-bit though

You've no idea how old some of the programs some businesses use. Also, those wee cheap atom tablets Tried that, didn't give me an option for 64 bit it just installs 32? Yeah it's for a game I need to update it You need theinstaller for 64 bit windows. You either need to download Windows 10 from a PC running 64 bit windows (it checks what you have and downloads the same as you currently have) or use a Windows XP machine or Linux or a Mac and you get the option to choose which version of windows to download.

Also, those wee cheap atom tablets Yeah, fair enough. You'd have thought they could restrict that to a "business" version or an OEM version for manufacturers.
paul-r-cfc
Looking to get myself a decent tablet for use at uni, watching films, general browsing etc. Not looking for anything too high end and no more than £200. Small enough to be pretty portable without being tiny. Always been an android phone user but dunno whether that's the best option on tablets or what Any suggestions from folk who know their stuff are welcome

You'd struggle to get anything bigger, or non-android, for that kind of money

Fraser Fyvie
The cursor on my HP Pavilion laptop is moving but the mouse (or touchpad) won't click. Can only click on the desktop items but after that I can't click anything - not even close the webpage down. Same on both Chrome and IE and the hard drive is making a quiet vibrating noise so obviously something to do with the computer. Tried to so a system restore (no idea if that would even help) but as I can't click that's not an option. Not sure what else I can try - anyone had a similar problem? ETA: managed to get on the internet and just cleared out the temporary files, restarted the computer and it's now working fine Hopefully stays like this. paul-r-cfc
Cheers for the recommendations. I'm terrible with things like this because I always end up obsessing over all the little differences between different models when for what I'm using it for, they'll all be suitable. I can't keep up with technology! Like the look of the nvidia one - not massively into my gaming but seem to get a lot of bang for your buck with it
KnightswoodBear
My father in law has a bit of a strange problem with his PC that I've been trying to sort. The PC itself is running fine and his broadband is clocking at about 40Mbps. When you open either IE or Chrome and search for something on Google, the results come back instantly, but when you actually click on a link in the results to navigate to a website it takes forever to load the page. I've tried doing some housekeeping and cleared the cache and temp files etc. I've done a flushdns as well but nothing seems to make any difference. I think that there may be a program running in the background that's causing it but can't see anything obvious. Anyone have any suggestions?

Open "msconfig" go to the startup tab and uncheck all non microsoft programs. if everything works ok start to enable all the other programs 1 at a time untill you find the culprate. If that dosent work we'll think of something else. eta: you will need to restart pc after each step of disabling and re-enabling Porno virus. Trust me. More than likley. Homer Thompson
Does sounds like a virus. Might be worth trying an other DNS provider too
Lambie's Pigeon Feed
I need of a new laptop, no gaming just browsing, streaming and downloading films/music. Not the most knowledgeable about this stuff, wanting to spend less than £300 ideally. For that price I can get a bunch of laptops with 1TB HD or I have found one with 128 GB SSD, am I right in thinking I want to be getting the 128 GB SSD as this will run faster? Does 128GB SSD hold the same amount of data as 128GB HD? If so that isn't a lot for movies etc but I already have a 1TB external hard drive. This is the SSD one - http://www.saveonlaptops.co.uk/80JA0158UK-Lenovo-E50-70_1768889.html If anyone has any better ideas for that price range?
