According to Labour internal party polling, Iain Gray is 5% behind in his own constituency.

He's a gonner.

10 votes to snp in east lothian from my 5 family members(postal)

Can you post a link for this internal poll.

I'd give my right bollock to be able to witness the look on his fucking gormless face if that happened.

I'm going to watch the coverage tomorrow night with a few bottles in anticipation.

Any polling on Shetland? As I said, if the Independent gets enough pitchfork-waving hicks behind him, Tavish is out too.

One of my flatmates is from Shetland and he's basically said that Tavish Scott is always going to be safe. He's apparently a very popular figure up there.

Turnout might be the SNP's enemy.

There was a comment on Polling Report saying that when polled, 80% of the decided SNP voters were likely to turn out, Labour third on 74% and the Lib Dems last on 68%, of the top four parties. I have no idea whether that's bogus or not, but I don't see how Labour would benefit from a low turnout. It's their core vote which is pretty fucking depressed at best of times.

Yep Labour usually are the ones who suffer, from all the parties, on a low turnout.

Their campaign has been so piss-poor, and Gray generally such a disaster, that it's hard to see their core voters turning out with any enthusiasm, regardless of the weather.

8/1 available on Labour winning the most seats  . I'm certain it will be closer that this suggests.

Whatever your up to tomorrow get out and TWO votes for SNP and lets destroy labour and return the good guys.

In the current set up - there is zero chance of Scotland weaning itself off the dole and public sector teat. That is the case no matter if Holyrood is there or not.

Independence, even in Europe, we have a possibility. On the day the union flag is lowered for the last time, I reckon you would see the party dissolve anyway and a centre right party will form with the tories or what is left of them. There's a sizable part of Scotland that would vote for a right of centre party and neither you or I knows exactly how the political landscape will go...

BTW, Scotland is no different to any other country in the world, it will have a centre right as well as a centre left party and it will not be the socialist hell you imagine it to be. This isn't Romania in 1950.

But hey, in the meantime, if you want to vote for 5 more years of PFI, 5 more years of financial incompetance, 5 more years of direct arguements between Iain and Dave, then fill yer boots.

me? I'm voting for a party that believes in potential, that wants us to be a grown up, responsible member of the world. It's about time we were again...

8)

even if it seems like it at times....

edit: what was the point of gray 'criss crossing the country through the night; ? 'and now through the day as well' well yes Iain we can see its the day time.....

He seems to me to be on the verge of a nervous breakdown.

Anyone know where the count is for East Lothian? I'm off to the count at Ingleston, hopefully it will be for there...

I have a feeling it was at Meadowbank in 2007.
