SNP gain Clydebank.

Current score...

SNP 37

Labour 14

Lib Dem 2

Conservative 1

And consider SNP missed out...

... by 151 votes in East Lothian

... by 511 votes in Greenock

... by 587 votes in Motherwell

... by 595 votes in Edinburgh Northern

... by 623 votes in Pollock

... by 714 votes in Uddingston

... by 862 votes in Galloway

... by 966 votes in Orkney

it could've been even more thumping, with a slightly larger swing.

News International man on the Beeb telling us that this is a 'Blair 1997' moment and saying that this is a one election show of support from The Sun. Not surprising regarding the latter.

Want to get 50 constituencies, 50 would be outstanding. It also seems very realistic now, with Fife, Central and the backwood Highlands still to be counted.

That seems to be all the central belt filled, in constituency, and the SNP have a thumping lead. They'll still pick some up Lists in the South and West Scotland, Glasgow too.

I suppose I do have some reason to be cheerful today.

This is the first time since I was born that my Constituency Parliamentary representative will not be from Labour.

Oh and cheerio Iain Gray, he can't survive this.

Problem is who replaces him. Labour, rather arrogantly some would say, don't put top-dogs on the List as a safety-net.

The currently elected constituency MSPs are Gray, plus:

Elaine Smith

Jackie Baillie

Elaine Kildare-Murray

Ken Mackintosh

Malcolm Chisholm

Patricia Ferguson

Johann Lamont

Duncan McNeil

Hugh Henry

John Pentlands

James Kelly

Michael McMahon

If Gray is sunk, so is Lamont you'd imagine.

The only ones I even know anything about are Chisholm & Henry, but they're old men and too "outside" the party establishment.

Patricia Ferguson as leader is possible, albeit semi-comical.

GLASGOW LIST RUMOUR

Labour 3

SNP 2

Conservative 1

Greens 1

Not good for Labour, they'd have wanted more/hoped SNP only landed 1.

Presumably means George Galloway is sunk, too.

Lib Dems lost on the Glasgow list... brutal.

No Gorgeous George. Disappointing really, he would have more than likely upped the standard of debate at Holyrood.

FWIW, I can't see anything other than LD and SNP returns from the Highlands. That's where the LDs will pick up seats.

If those 2 list rumours correct, LATEST SCORE:

SNP 39

Labour 20

Conservative 4

Lib Dem 2

Green 1

Unbelievable stuff.

Glasgow List was confirmed a few minutes ago.
