It was never knicker wetting. Everyone could see we'd regressed from last season and had sacrificed numbers for quality. We lost two of our best players and have replaced them with squad fillers. Add to that Kerr and Miller are a year older and Baird is done. We failed to recruit properly and are paying the penalty. I said weeks ago I'd bite your hand off for 4th. Kerr Taiwo and Rankin are three of the same player yet we start all three of them in the one midfield. Once again taiwo playing out on the right has houston not learned from last season? Hughsie Posted August 20, 2016 Share Posted August 20, 2016 I don't think one signing is going to solve everything but if the opportunity is there to bring in someone who will give the place a lift then Houston has to be backed to do that. Lots of work to do but it was always going to be a big ask to reach the heights of last season. The biggest issue is that I can't see how major improvements can be made with the personnel we have middle to front. Obviously Grant should improve us defensively but the lack of creativity in the team is worrying. I know it wasn't knicker wetting but the usual suspects will be on with that tonight if anyone so much dares to be less than optimistic.
