The Falkirk FC Thread

Ayr United right-back Nicky Devlin has joined Walsall on a two-year-deal, subject to international clearance.

The defender started his career with Dumbarton, before moving onto Motherwell in 2011. He also made one appearance for the Scotland Under-21’s.

Devlin is ready for the challenge ahead and told the Sadler’s official website:

I’m very excited to be here at the club. I’ve had a long break, so I just want to get in and get started now.

It appears that Nicky Devlin has joined Walsall. But at 23 and after being previously being released by Motherwell surely he has peaked and isn't good enough for us.

It's only a few years since he got released from Stenny. Definitely not good enough imo. Wouldn't be a signing that would win us the league.

'The club are continuing to work hard to bring in the quality of signing required to help make this ‘Our Time.' ' I'll believe it when I see it.

They appear surprised  that the signing of Alex Harris hasn't resulted in a deluge of fans wanting  season tickets .

Don't believe Murdoch will start in defence for them, Scobbie is a solid defender at this level too.

Murdoch will surely be their starting right back unless they sign someone else. With him scobbie and the two centre halfs it will undoubtedly be the slowest defence in scottish football.
