Member Update on FSS Fans Director

We wrote to you recently to let you know that following the nomination period for the vacant FSS Director post closing, we did not have any nominations. Our intention was that we, the committee, would work with the board to refine the job requirements and consider a co-opted director from the FSS Comittee.

We are pleased to confirm that we have since had a volunteer from the membership step forward to represent us as our 2nd FSS Director.

Tom Angus, has been a Falkirk fan since 1975 when he moved to Falkirk from Glasgow. He is a chartered accountant accountant by profession and has an extensive background in finance which will be a valuable asset for the FSS Committee and FFC Board, as well as, and probably most importantly, an aspiration of making a positive difference and active contribution to the success of our club.

As a committee, we wanted to notify members that we are looking to work with board on formalising the appointment.

Thank you,

The Falkirk Supporters’ Society Committee

With the buzz building around the club and town with recent performances in the league, it’s got my creative juices flowing at the moment. It kickstarts the memories of the good times at the club over the years. Something that’s been missing for a while now.

So to celebrate this, Iv started a painting of a true club legend!

you’ll not see a strip that baggy nowadays. Especially on big Alfie!

Remember when strips used to look like this? All the players looked like they were auditioning for a part in an Italian porn movie:

"allo, I've come to fix your 'ow you say, plumbing"

Allegedly.

FSS or part-time football. I know what way I'm going.

Ship has been steadied and mostly all positives to take from the AGM but it’s pretty clear that anything bar championship football or another unexpected windfall then it’s going to be some form of hybrid part time set up for us next season should we still be in league one. On the flip side promotion this year and the club is in good shape to properly kick on, it’s very fine margins.

So, if we don't get promoted and have to go part time, it's all the fans fault. Nice.

I'm choosing (but I am having to make a choice) not to take it too personally.

I have no truck with anyone who makes the other choice though. I wish we'd get out the habit of these slightly blamey statements
