Squad lists/confirmed signings

He will be backup for our strikers, on paper his scoring record doesnt look great but willing to give him a chance and see what happens. Could be this years Kevin Smith or this years Dennis McLaughlin who knows its only 6 months

Was very un-exciting and disappointing in both of his spells at Somerset, scored 1 goal in about 20 appearances. Looked like Kris Boyd, as in- very very very LAZY!!!! :thumbsdown Weird signing for you, IMO.....

In the McLaughlin area- very able with either foot, and very consistant. However he is not a goal scorer with poor freekicks and corners. His long passes are good but he has no creative 'spark'. Not too disappointent that he has left Somerset but i think he'll do well for QOS.:)

Havent seen him yet, but do have high hopes for Smith - scored two last night :)

Campbell pretty much strolled through the game on Tuesday night, although the opposition wasnt great. If McGuffie signs, we'll have him Reid and Higgins, so the pressure wont be on Campbell too much

Smith should be a very good signing for queens, would have had him back at starks in a heartbeat. I still reckon sparkys got another season in him at this level, very much a player im sad to see leave raith

Think it was down to versitity, Murray can play in various positions for us and had a great season, Campbell 2 at a stretch and was starting to struggle a little with his lack of pace. Im glad he got a good run out for us before he was released will always be remembered as a great player for Rovers and hope he does well (tho not against us :D )

SMith was probably just money, plain and simple

Midfielders

Andy Geggan, 24 (IN – Dumbarton)

Dean Keenan, 26

Sean Kelly, 18

Michael McGowan, 26 (IN – Alloa)

Ross Robertson, 20

Alan Trouten, 25

Robbie Crawford, 17

Has Keenan been awarded a contract then? I know he was originally given a short term deal to prove fitness.

New to this and i suppose its a decent time to sign up just in time for the new season smile.gif

I reckon Dundee's first team is looking decent its just a wee bit lacking in depth but I see going by this thread most other clubs are in the same boat, for us I think 2/3 more additions (a defensive midfielder that can also play at CB and a left sided player that could cover Conroy/Lockwood should either get injured) and i'd be quite confident of promotion. I can't see us signing more than 1 other player so I reckon we could go down the loan root this season.

Edit: Got it. Osnabruck!

Edit: He actually signed for Cypriot side Ermis Aradippou on a two year deal.

It probably doesn't warrant a new thread, but I have done a season preview on my blog for the 9 other teams that Ross County will face, with some tactical speculation.

Season Preview Part 2

Just before it is torn to shreds, kindly have in your thoughts that writing it has been more of a nightmare than I imagined, because so many teams in the division do not yet have a settled squad. I could have waited until the end of the week, when things might become more clear, but by that point a lot of the work would have been made redundant.

Thanks to everyone who have answered my random questions over the past week. There was genuine purpose beyond my general curiosity.
