THE KING
A GROUND-BREAKING partnership between Rangers Football Club and Huawei, a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, is set to bring fans into a whole new era of in-depth, WiFi-based engagement with the club.In a seven-figure investment, the club is working with Huawei to provide one of football's first fully converged stadium-wide WiFi deployments. The market-leading project will ultimately give every fan seated at Ibrox – as well as those in the approaches, concourse, restaurants and corporate areas – full, instant access to content-rich media and allow them to participate in real-time interactions with the club.Starting in August on a stand-by-stand basis, the phased development will allow Rangers to engage with fans and create the best possible matchday experience. The new set-up will remove connectivity problems in high-density areas and ultimately give 50,000+ supporters access to club competitions, merchandising, media, forthcoming events and enhanced fan/club engagement.Stadium WiFi has been under discussion at Rangers for a number of years following fan demand, with supporters wanting to access the full panoply of internet sport while at the ground, but being frustrated by 3G mobile network download speeds. Now, thanks to this partnership with Huawei, the club will create a more meaningful relationship with fans as well as enhancing the matchday experience at Ibrox. seven figure investment eh, thought we pure skint an aww, what's going on? I thought they were one of the biggest telecommunications manufacturers in the world? Lemme guess, fraudsters, gangsters, con men who have a secret mission to preach our sectarian principles to the masses in China? I await the BRALT`s secret agent dossier on this latest company to milk the Rangers support.Arghahahaa

bennett
How utterly pointless a poster is cloney He's better than Dave the thistle fan but lagging below Wisbit. Not the worst but still pretty much a waste of space. -
bennett
Wee man keep up, one of your teams supporters claims he doesn't know when the clubs 100th anniversary was, as he wasn't born, yet knows when the first game was, how does this make sense? I know that Celtic fans know everything there is to know about everything (especially about Rangers) but most ordinary people don't know everything.

Ned Nederlander
If only they had listened to Phil... For someone who wanks himself into a frenzy about being a "journalist" McGillivan certainly struggles with the Queen's English − that article is a mess and I'm struggling to understand the basics of it. According to 'Rangers' (don't snigger) the Wifi cost £1.8m but McGillivan claims it cost £1.5m ! Is the difference between the two this £300k that he's prattling on about and does it amount to some sort of service charge ? Is this what 'Rangers' haven't paid ? And then what's with the £200k? I shouldn't have to ask since he's gone to the bother of writting an article about it but I don't understand Pigeon English.

As soon as Phil starts a sentence with "I understand" you can pretty much ignore the rest of the article.
